Baby's heartbeat slow then fast

At my 25 week appointment this morning the dr mentioned that the baby's heartbeat was slow then got fast. She says she's not TOO worried... But now I am! And I was so caught off guard I forgot to ask what it could mean... Does anyone know anything about this?! Should I be concerned??

    It could just mean that baby was sleeping then woke up and started to move around. The best source of info is going to be your OB!

    I agree with @rainbowminion, it could be baby's sleep cycle (which they have at this point!). Maybe the Doppler woke your LO, which is what caused the change in the heart rate.

    Thank you so much for your reassuring comments! I called my OB and she said this was nothing to worry about at this point in pregnancy, apparently heartbeat variation is fairly common. Thanks again!
