Unicornuate Uterus

I have been recently diagnosed with a unicornuate uterus, but with two ovaries and two kidneys. I'm wondering how the size of my uterus compares to others. I know the success rates of pregnancy with a unicornuate uterus can largely depend on how big or small your uterus is. If anyone could share the size of their unicornuate uterus and outcomes of pregnancy, I would greatly appreciate it!

My uterus measured 7.4 x 3.3 x 3.0 cm.

I had an HSG and there was a big "unicornuate uterus (???)" phrase written in the assessment. So I did a lot of research on it while waiting to get an MRI to confirm/rule out. Turns out I don't have one but in the weeks I researched, the main thing I found is that it shouldn't affect your ability to conceive, but it might affect your ability to carry to full term. There is also a lot of risk if you have a non-communicating rudimentary horn and happen to get pregnant in that space. If it turned out that I had that, we decided that we'd only ever transfer 1 embryo at a time during IVF, as multiples carry a higher risk of pre-term birth since the uterus already can't stretch as much. I would suggest you find a specialist to discuss further, since it is an uncommon type of uterus.

Hi @iloverocksalot... I am seeing a RE for my uterus. I just completely forgot to ask him if mine was small, normal, or big for a unicornuate uterus. Right now we're doing an ultrasound to confirm I have a follicle ready, then HCG injection to induce ovulation, followed by progesterone. If no luck, we'll add in Clomid for a few cycles. Hopefully we don't have to get to IVF. I'm only 29 and I do ovulate monthly and my FSH/AMH and hubby's SA are normal. I just have really low progesterone (1.5) and a short LP (8 days)... and the unicornuate uterus! They do not think I have a rudimentary horn because it was not seen on MRI and I have never had painful periods.  They think I just have the solo unicornuate uterus with one fallopian tube and two ovaries.
