Anyone feeling GOOD?! ;)

Lots of rants on here about aches, pains and complaints... is everyone miserable or do we have anyone feeling GOOD?!
I'm 31w and really can't complain. Sure sleeping sucks (rolling back and forth and get up once to pee) and I get occasional heartburn, but overall i'm feeling really good! I've had an easy pregnancy and have kept up with workouts and walking, etc. SUPER thankful for all of that and a healthy nugget. I do have GD unfortunately, but managed with diet.

Anyone else feel good and just chugging along? What do you attribute it to? What's helped you along?

Outside of some tiredness at the end of my work day, and some small issues in the morning if I sleep in the wrong position, yeah...I'm feeling pretty good.

No more nausea, no more feeling like I need a nap in the afternoon, I'm actually sleeping better as well.

I added Omega-3 capsules into my "regimen" and upped my B12 a few weeks ago, that's helping a lot.

  • Pregnancy hasn't been my favorite thing in the world (mostly because it's causes some mild anxiety) but all in all, I've had a fairly easy pregnancy! My husband is super supportive, as had my whole family! And I love shopping for little bitty baby clothes!

I really thank my lucky stars how great it's been! I've read the struggles of some people here, and know what friends have gone through, and I know how easy it's had been!!! Let's hope the rest of the 9 weeks go as fast!!
  • I'm feeling pretty good!
Work are getting off my back about lighter duties and letting me do what I feel is a good amount- I hate not being active at work.
Apart from the morning sickness and the pelvic pain I'm feeling pretty gooood ;)
  • Stuff hurts, but it's all "normal"! I agree - from what I've heard of pregnancy horror stories, I'm having a pretty easy pregnancy!

Like my grandma said, "I'd recommend pregnancy to anyone!" Haha
  • I'm feeling good too! 32 weeks tomorrow and no serious complaints. I'm tired by the end of the day but other than that I'm good! Whenever people ask me how I'm feeling and I don't respond with "ugh miserable" they look shocked! Pregnancy isn't so bad! Hope you ladies are enjoying your final weeks!!
  • I have been feeling great! I fell pretty hard Saturday morning and hurt my arm but I'm still trucking along! We are finally starting to get her nursery together so I'm thinking that has something to do with my great mood lol. My husband doesn't baby me either which I think is definitely helping me out. I know how weird that sounds. I hope we're all still feeling great a few weeks from now lol!
  • I'm feeling pretty good! Besides the fact that im on bed rest. But the issue I'm having causes me no discomfort, so if it weren't for my lousy cervix trying to give way I would feel good enough to be active. But I can't, so I'm feeling good on the couch. I am starting to feel uncomfortable as far as bending over and getting some rib jabs and peeing a lot... But that's to be expected.

  • I'm excited that I'm having no problems pooping! LOL!!! I was so worried I would be constipated but I go just like I usually do. Yay!
  • I have a cold at the moment but other than that I'm feeling great! I do get tired and wake up with heartburn but doesn't last too long :) I thoroughly cleaned my house before my shower this weekend so pretty psyched to have a squeaky clean house without asking for help.
  • I'm having normal aches and pains but I'm currently 34 weeks 3 days. Last time I was pregnant with my DS I went on bed rest at 33 weeks so I'm just happy to still be up, moving around, and going to work.
  • I don't want to pregnant brag, but I am feeling pretty good, and knowing how hard some ladies have it, I really con't complain too much. I am sure some of it is just luck, but I also have been working out regularly and eating well, which I think makes a difference. I am really lucky too in that I still sleep relatively well most nights.
  • I'm right there with you!! I've been feeling great the whole pregnancy and hope it continues the last 5 weeks for me. No morning sickness, no heartburn, no swelling, no cravings. It really has been nice, have to get up once or twice to pee in the middle of the night but that's the worst of it!!
  • I still can't wrap my head around being due in 8 weeks solely because I still keep waiting to "feel pregnant!" No nausea, no heartburn, no constipation etc. I've really felt great the whole time and keep waiting for it to hit! The one thing I can start to complain about is clothes are uncomfortable, every single piece of them.
  • Yeah, I feel pretty great. Like you said, I do have acid reflux but 1 Zantac a day keeps this at away. I think a few things have helped: I've continued to exercise (just walking but vigorous and hills) 4-6 days per week. I drink A LOT of water, typically around 100 oz daily. I've taken probiotics and fish oil with my pre natal every day since before the beginning. I never threw-up, even in the very beginning so I think I'm just one of the lucky few who's pregnancy is pretty great. Of course the norm of exhaustion hit me during the 1st trimester and has occasionally so far in 3rd but I've been pretty fortunate. *knock on wood*
  • Actually honestly yeah. I feel good. More tired than my normal but my normal is really energetic so I'm still doing things like painting the nursery, assembling furniture, doing day trips up north with the in-laws. I feel pretty good. I can still walk without waddling too much.

The fainting I was experiencing has acutally died down quite a bit, though nausea has returned it's not all the time and not bad. Almost like once in awhile, some little freeloader is resting her feet on my stomach. Heartburn is gone (never was a huge issue to begin with but totally gone now) and no aches or pains. In fact, my joints feel pain-free for the first time in years.

    And I started pooping again.
  • Alright! Yes, I feel great thank God. I'm 34w5d, walking slower lol, a little swollen and up to pee a couple times a night however thats as bad as it gets! I feel very blessed never had sickness, or cravings. Praying it remains this way for the remaining 5 weeks.

This is me! I thank the bowel gods daily- Constipation was one symptom I was really wanting to avoid and I haven't had a problem so far.

As for the other symptoms, it depends on the week. I make sure to eat well, exercise, and we bought a new mattress. Anything to make it easier on my body!
  • Feeling good here too! I have been keeping up with my normal exercise routine pre-pregnancy (some slight variation changes and slight decrease in weights). I have been making sure to eat well too and believe that with exercise is what keeps me going strong. Prenatal yoga has been great as well. By the end of the day my feet are becoming slightly swollen and I am exhausted but I feel this is normal as I am 31 weeks.

  • Good for you!  My first pregnancy was much easier...this one, not so much.  This time I've been super healthy and working out (plus I do personal training) so I thought I would feel really good.  The ligament pain really has me knocked out most days...can barely walk.  I do remember my first pregnancy going much better.  Only really had GD to deal with then (still have it this time too).

  • At the risk of jinxing myself, I'll admit I feel pretty good. I thought pregnancy would be much worse honestly. I have some leg pain and lower back pain occasionally but overall I feel normal-ish. I joke that I'm really going to pay for it next pregnancy with horrible morning sickness and weird cravings.
  • At my last job I was the pregnancy dietitian so I worked with lots of women with really bad pregnancy symptoms. So, I think I had an experience bias that made me expect pregnancy to be pretty miserable. I have had minor annoyances but nothing very significant and generally nothing bad enough to ask the doctor about or even complain to DH about, overall I feel very blessed.
  • Im feeling good too! Almost 32 weeks only get up once at night to pee. This trimester has seemed way too easy and this is my third boy!
  • This pregnancy is going so much better than with my daughter. I haven't thrown up at all, which I threw up multiple times a day while pregnant with DD for the first half of the pregnancy. Heartburn this time around has been so much better. At this point last time, I was sleeping in the recliner from heartburn. Hopefully this will keep up for the next 7-8 weeks until baby boy gets here!
  • With only 5 weeks left, I feel pretty good. I'm tired, have heart burn and constipation but those are all normal things...nothing really out of the ordinary.. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be pregnant anymore but I'm not the most miserable person ever....
  • Besides gaining more weight that I'm happy with despite exercise and a relatively healthy diet, I really can't complain. I have heart burn, but Pepcid takes care of that. Some days I'll have some slight swelling, but going for a walk and drinking more water takes care of that. I haven't been sick and I haven't really had exhaustion. I think the worst bit has been attempting to roll out of bed to pee 3x a night and some difficulty getting my tennis shoes on because the bump gets in the way.
  • I'm jealous of this thread. Lol I've been on bed rest this entire week. Hopefully, I'll get to be blessed like you ladies as I get closer to my due date.
  • Except for peeing all the time and being tired im loving life. I have had a pretty easy pregnancy. Shoot i only got morning sickness 2x. Rolling over in bed sucks sooo bad right now and my snoring has driven mu bf out of the bedroom.

I do hope you get to feeling better and that bed rest helps. And either way, we're almost done! :)

  • I am pregnant with twins and people expect me to have gained 9,000 lbs and to be miserable- and neither are true! Sure I want to face plant a trough of margarita back in my pre pregnancy body buttttt, I have to say it has been a harmonious pregnancy and other then what I assume are standard aches & pains, I really can't complain. I have baby boy living in my ribs and that doesn't feel good at all - but I never expected pregnancy to feel good. Lol.

My doctor attributes it to having a positive outlook and to not getting too worked up over stuff and obsessing over the negative or worse case scenario stuff. That's his opinion, but hey I'll take it :)
  • Yey to positive articles! I have not been posting as much because I felt like a fraud... I have not come across most of the issues ppl here have had so I felt a bit out of place. Surely I had some back pains and I have been waking up to pee etc. but I have had times where my health has been much worse than now, due to stress, overworking, travelling etc. So really grateful this is going well...
  • I feel generally pretty good, especially for 35 weeks. I have some random leg pains and I get tired super easily and have heartburn and some minor SPD issues, but honestly none of those are particularly bad, especially compared to stories from other pregnant women I've heard. I have zero swelling, can get around pretty easily, and work isn't too awful (save for my 12 hour shift) I've also gained no actual weight and just redistributed it so that might be part of it. Unfortunately the actual pregnancy has more issues than my physical state would indicate so it's not all roses, but I'll take what I can get

  • Before becoming pregnant I never understood how people went to bed and within minutes of their head hitting the pillow they fell asleep. Now that's me. All night every night with 1 to 2 potty breaks. Ive never slept so well. I've had no nausea no constipation my two biggest issues have been random migraines (oils and Tylenol do nothing they just have to run a 10-15 hour course) although chiropractics has helped and 2. My feet and shins ache I've also gone up a shoe size. That's all. I feel blessed. It's all worth it in the end.
  • Agree on the rolling out of bed part... my abs want to kick in and help but I don't want to hurt something. Plus I have a snoogle on the outside which makes it even harder climbing over that thing!
