Dips. I want to eat various dips all the time. My current fave is buffalo chicken dip in the mini crock pot, and before that it was rotel, and before that it was taco pie. What's your favorite go-to recipe? I need more dips in my rotation!
This definitely reminded that I spent my day pinning hummus recipes! I can't really stomach anything sweet or rich, so I'm hoping some carrots and hummus hit the spot.
What is taco pie? I make "puke dip" that consists of burger, taco seasoning, salsa, and a brick of velveeta cheese. I've also hard it referred to as taco dip, so I don't know if it's similar.
It's hard to not make a LOT of this but I bet it freezes well
One bag of frozen corn Two cans rotel Two tubs of cream cheese (I use 1:3 low fat) About 1/2 stick butter A LOT of cumin. No idea how much. Have fun with it Package of sausage of your choice (I usually use sweet or mild Italian but spicy would be fine too)
Put everything but sausage in crockpot. Sautée the sausage so it's charred, and then crumble it up, and toss into the crockpot. Wait for everything to heat up well together and serve with corn chips (the Fritos dips are the best). I guess you could halve this recipe too, just use half a bag of corn and half a packet of sausage.

My first thought to this thread title was "I put my hand up on your hip, when I dip, you dip, we dip" bwahaha! I've been all about some hummus lately (but hello gas afterwards). But now, I'm gonna need some buffalo chicken dip ASAP!
I love dip too (my current snack in the fridge is raw green beans and carrots with french onion dip, mmmmm!). You mentioned Rotel dip, I would assume you mean just melted Velveeta and a can of Rotel? Try it with sausage...brown up a package of the sausage in a tube (breakfast sausage) and add it to the dip...o...m...g...if you feel at all guilty over the stupid amount of fat and grease in the sausage, get the turkey and/or low fat version (that's actually all we every use anyway).
My go to hot dip is spinach and artichoke. Our friends asked for it every single time we have a big gathering. I prefer to eat it with French bread, but tortilla chips work too.
Ha ha ha ha I was just telling DH the other day that I wanted stuff to dip my pretzel crackers in! Hadn't been to the store yet so I was trying to MacGyver my way around the fridge and pantry to no avail!
But I have to agree - spinach artichoke FTW!
...and pretty much everything else mentioned sounds good... now to make a shopping list.

Now I want pretzel bites from auntie Annie's. Any cheese dip wins.

It looks like vomit but tastes delicious. I made a living wiping butts for about 6 years so I'm not freaking out over it. Plus, if it grosses anyone out there's more for me!
Dips are so yummy and perfect for pregnant tummies. You can eat as much as you need- lots or a little! Some days I just dip carrots in a little ranch dressing, other days I attempt more elaborate creations.
I found a recipe for making your own cheese sauce on Serious Eats a while back. I haven't tried it yet, but intend to soon. I would love to do a beer cheese version, or a chipotle cheese version to have with my favorite sweet potato fries. Recipe is here:
My grandparents had some yummy cheese spread on Sunday. It was a local fancy grocery store brand. I don't normally like those, but this one was good. My grandma even found miniature Club crackers for my girls to use with it. Pretty sure I ate 1/4 of the container.
My favorite hummus recipe is from Smitten Kitchen:
Although I found a new one in Sunset magazine that has beets in it. It's from the Thanksgiving article in their most recent issue, so the recipe isn't online yet. That might be fun to try too. My other favorite spot to find dips is from the Pioneer Woman website. She's got some yummy ones, including a killer artichoke and spinach dip!
I needed some sour cream and onion dip with Wavy Lay's last week. Specifically the Lipton onion soup mix in Daisy sour cream. I only craved fruit with my first, I dunno what's up with this kid :-/
Yum this just reminded me that I have french onion dip in the fridge to eat with potato chips.
We usually make some dips on Sunday for football. Yummm.
A favorite is chili dip, a block of cream cheese spread in the bottom of a baking dish, a can of chili topped with cheddar cheese and baked. It's so good.
OMG my Grandma makes this dip that is sooooo yummy. It's so easy to make but for some reason tastes so much better when she does it. It's just cream cheese, V8 juice, and some chopped vidalia onions. I know, I know, sounds weird but it's soooo yummy with crackers or Tostitos
Buffalo chicken dip all day every day!!! Mmmmm. And we make the "vomit dip" too, but we just call it cheesy rotel dip excuse me while I go stuff my face now...

That sounds disgustingly good. Taco pie here is a layer of refried beans, sour cream mixed with cream cheese and taco seasoning as a layer, drained rotel, and the shredded cheese and jalepenoes on top. It's a cold dip you eat with tostitoes.
And you peeps have inspired my grocery list. Thank you!

This sounds so good! It reminded me of a dip I forgot about...layer of cream cheese, refried beans, and shredded cheese baked for 20 minutes. So easy and delicious!
We always make Heaven in a Bowl for family gatherings. It's sickeningly delicious and addicting. 8 oz package of softened cream cheese 7 oz jar of marshmallow fluff 1 tub of cool whip. Whip it all together and serve with fruit and graham crackers. I've tried to make it "less processed" with some homemade whip cream instead of the cool whip, but it's just not the same.
OMG this is me!!! I'm hooked on french onion dip and I've been wanting buffalo chicken dip sooooo bad. I'm so glad there are others like me lol!
One of my all-time favorites is taco dip. The base is simply one package of cream cheese, one package of sour cream, and one package of taco seasoning (like the little envelopes). You blend that all together and you can put any taco toppings on it like cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. Eat with tortilla chips and you're good to go! You can make it more nutritious with different toppings or just eat the dip by itself like I tend to do a lot...it's that yummy lol!
After all this talk about dips I went home last night and planned to eat chips and onion dip, only to find out DH ate all the chips.... It took everything inside me not to get made at him.
Just bought a huge tub of hummus because it cost the same as a regular tub of hummus to find out fiancé put a bag of crumbs in the cabinet. Stupid man tricks...

I hate it when I mentally call dibs on something while I'm at work, daydream about it all day, and find out that DH ate every crumb of whatever it was. I know it's irrational but damn!

BLT dip is super too

Pea pesto (with bagel or pita chips) is my favorite cold dip and takes two minutes to put together.

Yum!
For warm dips, a warm taco dip in the crock or a chili cheese dip! For cold, I have been obsessed with beer cheese dips!

I think the version I had was made with cream cheese instead of sour cream, because it was denser.
