Just a question about cleaning up the board

In my last BMB, we voted and elected two bumpies to be our BMB mods. They could do things like untag those 15 annoying posts at the top (not talking about the two our group has requested be sticky, more talking about the BumpTara/BumpJackie etc posts from like July), so that we didn't have to scroll forever to get to the relevant posts, among other things like discern when someone was over the TOU lines, etc. But I can't remember at what point we did that sort of thing, it might be a little early. I guess I'm just tired of having to scroll so much on the app when I'm mobile to even see new posts.

Anyone know at what point we should start having a discussion? I think first we had a post where we nominated who we thought would be a good mod, and the top ~10 or so (who also wanted the job) were put in a new thread with a poll/vote. Something like that.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

    Maybe I am just plain dumb today but I don't see what the point of this is? Can you explain a bit more? If someone is going against TOU, any member can report it. And the BGs are definitely checking this board. I do agree that the stickies on the top of the page are annoying, but I don't think the BGs will be removing them.

    Maybe it would be silly to have someone become a mod just to un-sticky those threads, but they make me twitchy.  I'm sure there were other reasons I just don't remember, it was a while back ...

    I hate all the stickies too, but I didn't even know mods existed?

    That all went put the window a while ago (maybe early this year or late 2014). All the voted mods lost their privileges and they switched over to company-employees for mods.

    As for the stickies, we used to be able to at least hide them ourselves (on your individual browser ) but alas that feature is gone.

    I noticed that, and it's really annoying.

    Didn't realize they did away with the BMB mods, but I know a lot changed and there was a mass exodus around January of this year. My last BMB is a total ghost town, they're all on a different forum and I couldn't figure out how to use the app, so alas, I'm back here.

    @sillyfox my last BMB is a ghost town too, though we did form a big facebook group that is still active. I tried the other group too but just kept coming back here.

    It's definitely a different atmosphere but I'm glad we seem to have a good group here in May 16 :)

    @lest2 We have a pretty good FB group too, and I love those ladies and their babies like my own! I feel like DD has 100 cousins ;)

    But I couldn't agree more, I'm really happy with May 16! :x

    That's how I feel, @sillyfox! It is so great.

    In September I went to a meet-up in Philly (From Boston!). There were about 16 of us. It was amazing (and never something I really thought I would do!)

    I wish the Bump would allow some BMB mods. They don't have the manpower to keep things organized :(

    I don't have much to add after all this but I am really hoping that things start to mellow out. I was super active on TTGP and am just waiting for the non regs to disappear some. I joined in June and a lot has changed since then even.

    Yep, the mods are no longer a thing here. It got ugly towards the end but I also kinda jumped ship because it was nearing my due date and I needed to keep my sanity.

    @lisaren No I was May 2014 but when I did a search for mod in our board you had said somewhere that you were a mod on your last BMB do I thought you might have some insight! Sorry if that makes me a creeper! ;)

    That would be awesome! Prior to getting pregnant, I had been on MyFitnessPal for weight loss and was surprised coming over to here at how messy the board seems and how long it takes to get to the discussions I want to see.
