Baby is almost 8 weeks old. I'm dying to get to the gym. How does everyone feel about an infant this young spending time in the childcare room? Unfortunately I don't have anyone available during the day to watch him and if I wait until my husband gets home in the evening to plan a workout I'm afraid it will get too late for me to go. After dinner, cleaning up, tending to my older kids, etc I can easily see time slipping by and me not making it in. I'd bathe him and change his clothes as soon as we got home from the gym. Is it still a bad idea? At what age would it be safer immunity and germ wise?
Re: Taking LO to childcare at gym?
What about checking out some new fitness dvds from the library? I know it's not the same but I got in awesome shape and lost 50lbs just doing dvds in my living room. Plop baby in the swing and have your older kids color or do the DVD with you. I really liked the biggest loser cardio blast DVD and the biggest loser last chance workout. I did those 5 days a week and went from being completely inactive to able to run 5 mile runs within 3 months so they definitely work to get you back in a fitness routine. The library is great because you can try a bunch of different dvds to find what you like then you can buy it cheap on amazon or ebay once you know you like it. Hth!
