I feel ya. I had a breakdown last night. I feel defeated and let down by my own body. I had an ultrasound yesterday and the tech put his weight at 9lbs 5 oz. She also decided to throw in that he has a big head.. Thanks lady. I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow and another NST. I'm guessing I will have to schedule to be induced at some point this week since they won't let me go past 42. I wish he would just come out on his own! But i don't know if I can handle the wait mentally.
I'm joining the club I'm 40+2 weeks and not even one contraction. Can't have a membrane sweep due to GBS+. I almost cried last night cause I just over peeing every 10 mins and can't not sleep for more than two hours. Little guy is to comfortable and needs to come. Have a doctors appt tomorrow and hoping they will talk about scheduling an induction next week. This mama wants to meet her little man already. :-w
40+5 today. The waiting is emotionally and physically draining me. Second NST today and plan for indication Thursday am if no sign of this peanut coming out. Im hoping if I have to be induced it won't be horrible since I'm already almost completely effaced and a few cm dilated.
Looks like I'm joining you all ladies! I'm 40 weeks today... and at my appointment this morning the doctor says my cervix is completely closed. No progress from last week. I'm not having any contractions at all... not even having BH either. She scheduled me for an induction on Sunday evening if nothing happens before then. I do go back to the doctor this Friday to check to see if I have seen any progress...however, if not... my doctor says it could be a 2-day induction process in which I have to be at the hospital the whole time! I was also told I need to make sure I'm doing kick counts twice a day plus after all my meals... now I feel like I'm going to be even more worried... trying to double check that everything is okay with baby!
I'm 40 weeks today! I haven't had a cervical check or anything, so no idea how things are going. I don't really know if I have been having BH or contractions or what. Just trying to stay busy. I don't see my doctor until Thursday, so I'll get a stretch and sweep then and see how little guy is doing.
Yesterday I could have sworn my water broke all day... But nope, I think it was just pee/discharge. I'm pretty sure I went through 6 pairs of underwear. Sigh.
41w 2d ... Met with the midwife this morning. Still a fingertip, for almost 4 weeks now. Induction is scheduled for Wednesday night. I will have to start with the cervadil so I probably will not meet my son until Thursday. It's a relief to know the end is in sight, but so upsetting as this is not the way I wanted it to end. I'm hoping he'll come out on his own before then!
Update: went into hospital for induction 10-19 due to low fluid. Delivered 10-20. Induction was tough...wanted to try for natural, ended up with epidural plus vacuum. But honestly all worth it to have healthy baby boy in my arms. I am praying and wishing you ladies the best of luck. Hang in there!!
Add me to this sad club. I am so over being pregnant. Tried everything I was comfortable trying to bring on labor still woke up pregnant this morning. I almost cried. So done.
Hit 41 weeks today but will go in tomorrow morning to be induced! Hoping all will go well and crossing my fingers by mid-day I will be snuggling my little girl!
Joining club at 40w4d. Completely frustrated and in pain. I have had 2 membrane sweeps, just did cervical ripening today which was a 6 hour process and had consistent contractions but they were not strong enough and I am still barely 2 cm dilated. Sent me home and unsure when my induction will be. Can't sleep and mentally and physically in pain. When will it end?
Yep. I am now in the club. 40 weeks, 2 days. My first was 2 days early, so I have defied everyone's predictions about going into labor early with this one! The doctor says if I don't have this stubborn little girl naturally by Monday, I will be getting an induction date.
Physically, I'm okay, besides being uncomfortable as hell. Mentally and emotionally, I'm DRAINED!
Today is my EDD, so therefore I join the club! Nothing indicative of labor starting anytime soon. I was quite tired today though. My husband encouraged me to rest. I watched Netflix and college football for much of the day. Did make it out for a nice walk. I plan to try to keep things low key and low stress this weekend, hoping that might enable labor to start. If not, at least I will hopefully be able to charge up for the work week. If baby still stays in this week I figure I will prepare some food to freeze and maybe do some stuff in the nursery.
I guess I'm in the club now, too, at 40+2. I'm so sick of people asking me where the baby is. Everybody gets a snarky comment in return. I'm so done and I want my baby.
@knzito, this might be worth a shot to help labor progress. One of my midwives recommended the site to me, and it has this section on what to do in labor when to either help baby engage, or help make labor easier.
I am 40+1 today. I don't mind being overdue because I want baby to come when he/she is ready. But I am struggling with all the people asking me where baby is and I really want to punch some people who have asked why I haven't scheduled an induction yet. I am only 1 day over! Why jump to induction?
My due date was today so I am now joining this group as well! I hope to get to meet this little lady soon!! Patience is definitely not my best virtue!!
I'm 41+1 and I think it's gotten easier mentally dealing with the prolonged wait by focusing every day on one thing I wouldn't have been able to do if I already had the baby (i.e. Organizing a closet, cleaning the garage, vacuuming the house). I've felt productive and it's kept my mind off fixation on labor.
I'm 40 and 4 and just had an appointment this morning. She did a membrane sweep and gave me an induction date and time for next Wednesday night. I've had terrible back pain and period like cramps since 10:30 last night. Occasional contractions that aren't timeable. She did mention if I go into labor and delivery with contractions they will have to keep me since I'm over my due date and 3cm dilated and super soft. Until then I guess I'll just be in agony from this back pain as I head into work soon. Ugh.
