It seems that i am pregnant now, I only test once and it is positive. Can someone recommend that what brand of skin care is not harmful for unborn baby
You're fine using whatever you are using now. Some doctors recommend staying away from retinol and benzoyl peroxide, sometimes salicylic acid depending on the doc, but for the most part use what you have.
I lurk. I snark. I offer sound advice if you're not BSC. You may not like me. I'm okay with it.
Belli skincare is awesome but the spot treatment if you have acne smells very strong due to sulfur being the active ingredient. I love ceraVe foaming face wash too . I had to quit all 5 medicated face creams and my wash when I got KU and the breakouts have been manageable
Yes, really. Anti-bacterial soaps and hand sanitizers that contain Triclosan and Triclocarban are being found to possibly cause hormonal changes and may damage immune systems. So far, this has only been proven in animals, but the FDA is looking into these products again to test their efficacy against plain soap and water. The FDA's hypothesis is that Triclosan doesn't provide any additional benefit and if that is proven, they will either require manufacturers to remove the ingredient or relabel their product.
Most hand sanitizers today are alcohol based and do not contain these ingredients. If you want to see if it's in there, it will be listed as the active ingredient. Other studies have shown that the use of Triclosan-based hand sanitizers increases the absorption of BPA in the blood stream up to (I think) 500%. This study was based on thermal receipts which use BPA instead of ink on receipts. They had people handle the receipts with and without Triclosan-based hand sanitizers.
It's probably not really a huge deal, other than how we (Americans) are over-using anti-bacterial products and they're probably not any better at germ killing than the plain stuff.

I think a lot of anti-bacterial soaps now use Benzethonium Chloride for this reason.
