Uppababy vista - any discount possibility

I really want this stroller and have done some research and the only way I can find to get any sort of discount is to put it on a buy buy buy registry (they had lowest price I could find at $850) and then get the extra 10% off with completion discount. The lady assured me that it wasn't excluded from the completion discount. Anyone else find any other way to get the price down a bit on a new 2015 model?

Re: Uppababy vista - any discount possibility

  • It's a beeeeautiful stroller! I haven't seen Uppababy doing much discounting at all, though. The only thing I know of is the factory store in Massachusetts. They sell floor models and things (by appt only) and you can get some killer deals, but obviously you need to be local. Maybe Amazon, too? Or secondhand, but I know you said you want 2015. We went with the Uppababy Cruz with the Mesa car seat. From everything I've heard, you won't be disappointed if you do choose to spend the $$!

  • If you are ok buying last years model, try albeebaby.com. You will need adapters to use the 2015 Mesa with the stroller but buy buy baby has those and gave them to me for free. You can get a 2014 uppababy for about $650.
  • If you go into a bed bath and beyond, they won't have it in stock, but they will order it to be delivered to your house with free delivery. I think their retail is 799. Take a 20% off coupon with though. Technically, the coupon excludes uppababy. However, most bed bath employees either don't realize that or don't care enough to argue. This is how I ordered ours. Hope this helps!

I wonder if this would work on a bugaboo.... hmmm *plots*
  • Remember the bassinet is only good for the first few months. I don't know where you live but here it will way too cold for strolling in the first three months which is why we went with the Cruz.

I thought the vista comes with the bassinet and seat, and the Cruz was the one you had to purchase the bassinet separately.
  • Thanks everyone! I am going to try the bb&b trick today and see if it works. I will let you know. 20% off of $799 would be great.

We live in San diego (where "winter" means trading in flip flops and shorts for tennis shoes and a light jacket) so I am hoping to get good use from the bassinet.
  • Let us know if the 20% coupon works, my friend is still waiting to buy hers!
  • I was also going to suggest Albeebaby.com That's where we got our City Select stroller. I got a brand-new 2013 model. The only changes they make are in the colors available, generally, and all years are compatible. I don't know about UppaBaby.

  • albeebaby.com has the stroller and you can use code oct20 to get 20% off.
  • Amazon's registry has a 15% completion discount if you are an amazon prime/amazon mom member (10% for regular customers with registry). Their discount is released 60 days prior to due date, is one time use but good 180 days past due date from what I read. I'm looking at mountain buggy and they didn't exclude it (Buy Buy Baby and Bed Bath and Beyond said they did exclude both brands when I looked--the only consistent exclusion I saw was medium to high end strollers for both). Amazon's discount appears to work on anything "offered" by amazon.com but it has to be considered a baby item (and it can't be a marketplace seller).
  • Just tried it and it said this was excluded! Bummer. That would have been really easy!
  • We ordered ours from peppyparents.com
I had something that gave me $10 off. I think it was a coupon I found from retail me not for strollers and car seats. Plus there was no tax.
So it was a better deal that getting it the same day from a local retailer.

Everything arrived within a week. The color we wanted was delayed or else everything would've arrive within 3 days.
They are an authorized seller so we were able to get the infant car seat, rumble seat and all the extra accessories. At the time the piggy back was on backorder, but we were able to order that later.

Yeah, we will be using the bassinet in our room for the baby to sleep in (it is approved for sleeping) for the first month or two. Because we will be using it for that, it made the vista worth it for us.
  • Have you considered the Cruz instead? The difference in price is largely due to the bassinet, which you will only use for a month or two at most. For $300 less you could get the Cruz, and for $50 you could buy the infant snug seat so you can put an infant in the regular seat, or buy a car seat that's compatible and use that.

Yeah you can't use it online and it varies depending on whether the associate cares to read the whole coupon or not. You can always try on a couple different days with different associates if you go in person.

Very jealous! It's already freezing here! If I lived in San Diego I would totally get the vista

Lurker Here... I just used the oct20 code on Albeebaby for the Baby Jogger Citi Mini Select Double GT and it worked! BBB and Babies R Us coupons also exclude Baby Jogger. Anyways, thanks for the code!
  • I will check out the Cruz. I can live without the bassinet. We got the bob (because I am a runner) so I am feeling a little ridiculous getting another expensive stroller. But so many friends have uppababy and have said that the bob is bigger and harder to use daily.
  • We are getting the Cruz and I'm totally in love with it. It's our biggest single item purchase but seems worth it.

  • We actually tried out all the strollers I liked the Cruz better because the seat comes all the way out and can be replaced with just a carseat making it lighter to carry then the Vista.
  • Also I've checked several Tot Swaps, Wee Marts, etc trying to buy one used and determined its a lost cause!
