I wrote a post on this before. However, I have been getting more and more nervous about taking it.
I have sever insomnia while pregnant and took Ambien with my daughter ( who is perfectly normal) However, I am starting to fear it during this pregnancy. Is anyone else in the same boat? Any past experiences?
Re: Needing to take Ambien and getting nervous about it :(
I also have changed eating habits and activity to no avail
I have my husband take the bottle so I don't get an extra one during a sleep walking episode. They don't happen often, but I always feel better having him have the meds and me not know where they are.
My OB always tells patients that it is better to get sleep now bc you will be sleep deprived later (as you know). They even gave it to me during labor hoping it would calm me down. Needless to say, they were annoyed that it didn't do much. But, take it if/when you feel okay with it! Good luck on the sleep
I ended up going back on it about a month ago because of super fun pregnancy induced carpal tunnel that caused me to wake up in horrible pain in both arms. Carpal tunnel still stinks but at least with the ambien I don't remember how mad I was that I couldn't sleep.
Just remember as with everything during pregnancy you have to weigh benefits vs risk. I don't know about you but me being pregnant and tired is a risky situation for anyone in my vicinity.
