Fetal Heart Rate

Hi all..I had my 2nd ultrasound day. It's been 8w1d since my last period and the baby is measuring at 6 and a half weeks. I'm not too concerned about that because I do tend to have longer cycles. However, the heartbeat was only 108. Can anyone give any feedback on my situation or give me their outcome of a similar situation? Thanks

What did your doctor say?

Sounds normal to me. Afaik above 100 is good. Mine was about 115 at that time.

They told me I had to come back in a week to get it re-checked

You probably just ovulated later which why you are measuring at 6.5 weeks, that's what happened to me.

Honestly if your doctor didn't show any concern about the heartbeat then I definitely wouldn't worry. The heart rate will go up and down multiple times throughout your pregnancy.

They told me it should be atleast 110, which it isn't too far off. With a history of miscarriage I naturally worry about the smallest things like 2 beats

I've heard anything from 100-180bpm is good. i didn't get to hear my baby's heartrate til about 12 weeks, & it was at 165bpm. bow it's dropped down to 153bpm & has been fairly stable there.

talk to your OB if you havent already, or if it does become a little more concerning to you! i wouldn't be tho.

Unfortunately, comparing heart rates with others who had a success story can lead to major disappointment. Everyone's body is different and every pregnancy is different.
As hard as it is to wait out your next u/s without over analyzing or over Googling, I highly suggest it.
I have had the unfortunate time of hearing heartbeats of twins one week and the next nothing, and no one was concerned about their rates. I spent the week researching and really set myself and DH up for a bigger heartbreak because of statistics and other people's stories.
Sometimes, you just have to ride the wave and see where you end up.

FYI it's normal for it to be lower like that the first few weeks it starts beating . It should speed up. Mine was 110 at 6w6d

If you are 6w-some HR 108 seems perfect to me. If you are 8w-some there is a problem. Baby's HR starts at 5w-some at the mother's resting HR and increases a few beats each day. So each day is a differential of a few beats and if you have a lower resting heart rate that would explain a differential also. FX.
