When do you think should I go for first ultrasound

So my dr. has written me a referral for an u/s but doesn't seem to mind when I do it. I'm out of the country at the moment and I told him I'd go in for it when I get back. I can either go when I'm 5w3d from conception (7w5d from LMP) or 6w3d from conception. I was charting with OPKs so fairly concrete on when I conceived. Obviously desperate to go as soon as possible but don't want to go before I have a chance of seeing a fully formed sac and hopeful heartbeat... Can't take a disappointing scan but also having trouble waiting.....Thoughts??
1st Pregnancy: EDD 12/31/15; Diagnosed Turner's with terminal cystic hygroma 13wks; induced at 14wks, +3 d+c's.
2nd Pregnancy: BFP 10/8/15; EDD 6/21/16

    I just got back from my first scan and I am at 7w3d. They wanted me to come in for the early one (5w3d) and I couldn't do it without traveling to a not close clinic. I opted to wait until I knew there should be something in there with HB. I'm really sensitive due to my past experiences and have tended to feel strongly that a wishy washy US early isn't worth it (like, oh yes, we should be able to see the baby, but maybe you are too early? Then keep going in multiple times. Been there, done that).

    So I totally get your dilemma...I've just decided that patience and not thinking about it (and maybe a little faith) will just have to be my tools for this hopefully successful pregnancy. Enjoy your time abroad! and GL with whatever way you choose!

    I feel you will be able to hear heartbeat and see baby at either time.  You would be almost 8wks at one and almost 9wks at the other.  We saw baby at 7+6wks and heard heartbeat.
    BFP 2/11/15 (EDD 10/13/15). MMC 3/30/15 D&C 4/3/15 "We will always love you"
    DD1 - BFP 7/23/15 (EDD 3/31/16).  "We believe in you rainbow" DOB 4/2/16

    Any time after 6 weeks should be fine!
