How long between injection start date and ER

Hi everyone!
As of now my RE has me estimated for ER on November 3 and 3 day transfer on Novemebr 6th. All tentative...

Of course, that's the worst timing for me (why wouldn't it be? I have no luck lol)
I have a wedding on the 6th, which I don't care about, I will happily miss the wedding for a transfer or retrivial.
BUT....I have a very important baby shower on the 7th; I'm HOSTING it.

My sister-in-law is pregnant, and unfortunately my mother-in-law (her mom) passed away recently. It's been hard, especially with her getting pregnant. Her mom would have been doing this shower for her, she would have LOVED hosting it. Since her mom can't be here to hold a shower for her, I stepped in and threw one for her. Well, it's on Novemebr 7th and I'm panicking that both will fall on the same day.

I really have no luck- so I won't be surprised if it does. I will do whatever I need to do for this IVF cycle to be a success, but I really want to make sure her shower goes well. It's hard enough On her without having her mom here, so I want to be there for her.
I feel sick over this timing.

I know I have NO CONTROL and I know that there is no SET time period- but I would like estimates, to help ease my mind a little.

How many days was it from the day you started injections (stimming) to the Day had your retrivial?

I started mine on the 8 and had my retrieval on the 20 . They ate usually pretty good at guessing your dates

My experience has been varied. The first round of IVF I started injections on day 2 of my cycle and had ER on day 12 and the transfer was 2 days later on day 14 as I only had one embryo. The second cycle, ER was on day 11 and transfer was on day 16 - I again only had one embryo but they weren't sure if it was developing properly so they wanted to watch it for the full 5 days. My third time ER was on Day 13 as I had a lot more follicles and they wanted them to keep growing and transfer was 5 days later on day 18 - my doc wanted to go the full 5 days because there is a large drop off in embryos between day 3 and day 5.

My wish for you is that you don't stress too much about it. No matter what, your sister-in-law will have a wonderful baby shower and if you have to enlist your husband to do all of the set-up ect. then I am sure he can rise to the occasion. Or maybe some friends of hers or yours can step in and help? I know just saying don't stress isn't helpful but maybe if you can have some back-up reinforcements in place for that day it will help ease your mind?

What date are you planning on starting injections?

Mine was 9 days, my doc said thats really short though. I was actually the first retrieval in my group of 20 women. I think the general average is10-14 days

I started stims on 10/14 and looks like my ER will be on 12/26. Good luck and I hope the timing works out for you! Try not to think about it, just relax. I know, so much easier said than done...

@Colleen0516 1) woohoo!! So excited for your cycle! Wishing you a BFP! 2) is there a chance they will push it to 5day transfer of your embryos are doing well? (That would solve all your problems and be fantastic news!)

3) my dates start stims cd 3, 9 days of stims, trigger on night of day 9, ER on day 11, ET day 16.

@HBamama2B I'm hoping for a 5 day! But I want whatever is best for those little embies! So I guess we will see when we get closer. I'm just praying that the timing works out! As long as nothing occurs on Nov 7th; were good! (I'm a walking Murphys law though lol so we shall see!)
I will miss the wedding, I will miss work... I just don't want to have to miss my sister in laws baby shower. I have to be there for her.

Only time will tell, but my need to control the situation was outrageous last night lol

I wouldn't worry too much about the transfer. It is very quick and I went about my day afterward. I didn't go home and run a race but I went shopping and did stuff around the house. Just be easy on yourself and ask for help with the shower setup/take down from others.
