Is anyone else using a fertility microscope? I've been using one for the 2 cycles since my stillbirth for the first time- I didn't use one to conceive my son. Now I had no clue what I was looking for. I've been trying to convince my husband what I was seeing was ferns. Until I saw this mornings sample: ferns! Yahh. I mustn't have ovulated the first cycle because there was nothing like this. I'm sooo excited. Never thought I could be over little ferns.

    I haven't heard about that. So you use it to check your mucous?

    You use a bit of spit from first thing in the morning. It dries and crystalises into that pattern if you have the hormone that is released when you ovulate. If you don't have the hormone it's just lots of dots.

    I have been using the microscope as well and was just looking for threads to see if anyone else had used it.  Since you didn't really get a response I am going to assume that not many ladies are using it.  i have had some confusing results but I think I finally got the hang of it.  You are not supposed to eat or drink anything (including water) within 2-3 hours before giving a sample.  The ferning is actually salt.  When your estrogen increases the saline increases in your saliva.  So if you eat something or drink something with sodium it can impact the results. Did the ferning correspond with any other sort of ovulation test?  I had negative ferning yesterday and today but positive OPKs and favorable CM. 
    TTC since May 2015 with domestic partner of 13 years. Me 33 OH 33.  No ovulation or natural menstruation. Normal SA.
    Diagnosed PCOS February 2016
    First cycle 50mg Clomid 5/3/16, O'd CD 19 BFN
    Second cycle 50mg Clomid 6/1/16 O'd CD 18 BFN
    Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
    EDD April 3 and praying things work out!

    I did try the Ovulite when I was TTGP with my first.  I couldn't really figure it out & didn't work out for me.  But I hope you have better luck!!

    Clomid 100mg IUI #1 10/12/15....BFN.
    TTC Break until January 2016.

    I didn't take a test as well because the agreement between my husband and I was that I wouldn't go crazy and he thought peeing on a stick was crazy. He relented on the microscope so I went with that.

    @LilLambie, your DH thinks peeing on a stick is crazy?  I draw the line at vaginal temping.  I know DH would lose it if I started doing that. :D

    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    Yeah we are supposed to be not trying, not preventing so if I do that then we are moving into the straight out trying. I got away with the microscope because I didn't know if I was ovulating after my sons birth. I think he's coming over to the dark side though haha.

    Af arrived yesterday. Since then dh has been researching ovulation kits and sperm friendly lube and is going into the chemist during his lunch break tomorrow to get them. It's my birthday when af is due next and he is adamant that he is getting me pregnant for my birthday. This is funny to watch.
