My LO usually sleeps until 5 am and some nights all the way through until 730-8. We didn't really do anything to get her there. She would fuss a little at night, initially around 330-4, and we just let her fuss in her crib until she would eventually go back to sleep. Usually only about 10-15 min before she would put herself back to sleep. Then she started to push back this fussy time until now its around 5-530 in the morning. Usually she puts herself back to sleep, but if she doesn't, I feed her & she goes back down until 830-9. Crying it out or letting her fuss has worked for us.
My 5 month old currently wakes every hour and has since the beginning of September. I am about to lose my marbles. So, no advice but lots of empathy! We will get through it eventually!
No advice here either. My 5-month old wakes up at least twice a night and sometimes up to four times. At least he goes right back down after eating. It's not a huge issue for me but I do look forward to sleeping longer stretches.
I was at my limit 2 weeks ago, then read the book "the good sleeper" and I learned a lot about baby sleep... Followed the author's advice and went from wakeups every 1-2 hours, to going to sleep at 7pm, up somewhere between 1am and 3am for a feed, then up for the day between 6am and 7am.... Transition took 2 nights... Several moms I know told me the "baby sleep solution" book was really helpful to them, but I didn't read it because the good sleeper book already helped me
We had issues with our little guy sleeping laying flat. He slept in the rock n play till last week. Sometimes through the night, sometimes 4 hours, feed and sleep for another 4. Merlins Magic Sleepsuit saved us! He sleeps in his room in his crib lying flat for around 8-10 hours. One night he slept 4 hours, ate then slept another 4 but every other night besides that he's slept through. He still nurses to fall asleep, but otherwise it's going really well. It basically just lessens the startle reflex.
We did sleep training at 3.5 months and my 5 month old has now slept from 7:30-7:15 consistently for a month. It is hard to do, but it saved our family ha and my sanity especially going back to work. We did the cry it out method, modified. It's not for everyone but she now takes two long naps a day too. I never thought this was possible. We used a consultant through the process.

How often was she waking up prior to sleep training? I really want to try it but I'm hesitant and worried about staying consistent through the process.
She was starting to get up every hour after 2 am when she previously was only asking once during the night to eat. By night 3 of training, we stopped feeding in middle of the night. I swear it changed our life. It's really hard, but if you do it, the rewards are worth it for baby and you:) our consultant was only $150 for 3 months of unlimited emails and she was so helpful!
My daughter woke up during the night a few times every night so when she turned 4 months I started her on solids as well, & because she was more fuller she slept all the way through the night since, she is now 5 months and still sleeps during the night With no problems at all. That's what's works for me hope I helped. Good luck
I agree! We did this we did the same thing. It's been working although the last week he has been waking @540,500, and 300 throughout. Last night he fussed at 1230, 300, and finally woke at 620. I just let him fuss and he was back to sleep in 5-10 minutes. I lowered the volume a bit on my monitor so I can hear him when he really needs me. It's worked for us. He took well to sleep training a few months ago as well as solids.
My little one wakes up every 5 hours. I've tried feeding him more during the day and it doesn't change anything. He's too old to be swaddled but he loves having a blanket over him. I hold it over him while I rock him to sleep and then leave it over the lower half of his body once in his crib- it's helped me immensely.
My LO sleeps from 7:30pm- 7am and has for quite some time now. We usually have the same bedtime routine. In the evening I'll feed him oatmeal at 5:30pm and then bath time and last bottle at 7pm and then he is down for the night. He wears a sleep sack at night. Sometimes we'll play a heartbeat noise on this sheep we have to drown out any other noises.
Your LO might be ready to sleep train. Mine was waking every hour so we did the CIO method, he ate a lot more during the day to stock up for night - he now eats every 2 1/2 to 3hrs. He goes to bed at 7 and wakes 2 times a night, but gets 12hrs sleep. Good luck!! This was the hardest thus far for me.
My LO was waking 3-4 times a night bc of teething around 4 months. We got our 2 bottom teeth in and now she is waking 1-2 times a night. She was terrible to put down and sometimes would not go back down when she woke up. She was always trying to roll back over on her tummy and screaming/crying.. so I finally started putting her down on her stomach and she goes right to sleep now! I was a nervous wreck the first few times I did it and watched her like a hawk. She still gets up 1-2 times a night but there isn't a fight anymore!
