Going to the dermatologist

I made a derm appt for tomorrow for a growth on my neck. It started about 3 weeks ago, appearing like a skin tag. No biggie, I thought...it happens with the hormones. Well, it has continued to grow and bleed. I've been wearing a band-aid to cover it because it's a little unsightly. Today, the top came off and it bled through the band-aid and onto my shirt!! It's covered again now and stings because it's raw. The skin around it is irritated also from the adhesive. Hoping its nothing serious, but having a hard time not thinking worse case scenario!

    It looks like it probably is still a skin tag, but if it hurts, it needs to go!
    From experience, they bleed a ton, so don't panic about the bleeding. I've always had a few right in that spot, but I've started getting them in other not-so-nice places. I am trying to wait it out until post-delivery, but if they start to hurt, I have no qualms about treating them earlier.

    I went today and the Dr took it off and sent it away for pathology. He said it's unlikely, but it could be melanoma. He said most likely it's a pyogenic granuloma, which is nicknamed a "pregnancy tumor" as hormones commonly make it appear. Not cancer and easily removed. Keeping my fingers crossed for the latter!
