Sharp pains

I had a miscarriage in April and just last week found out we are pregnant again. I am five weeks today. Unlike my first pregnancy (my daughter just turned two) I'm so nervous about having another miscarriage. This morning when I woke up I felt kinda crampy, it wasn't intense It was just there. Later this afternoon when I went to the bathroom I got an awful sharp pain when I pee, and it's been getting worse.. I can even feel it when I move wrong but gets worse when I go to the bathroom. Has anyone else had this?

    I haven't experienced this, but I think it's something you should talk about with your doctor. Hope they can help!

    If it hurts when you pee, I think it would be worth getting a hold of your doctor. It could be a UTI, it could be something else, it could be nothing, but I wouldn't hold off on getting checked out!

    First I'm so sorry for your loss. Second, please see a doctor. A UTI untreated can cause preterm labor later on.

    I agree with pp, see a doctor and get a ua. They need to check for a uti which pregnant women are susceptible to getting.

    I also had a miscarriage in April and found out I am pregnant and due in June. My doctor has been great at reassuring me that no question is stupid. If you are even feeling anything that you don't "feel is normal," call your doctor! That is what they are there for and will at least give you peace of mind. Good luck!

    I'm 5 weeks having sharp pains and heavy cramps, my doc said as long as I'm not spotting it's likely uterus stretching. I think some people are more sensitive to it than others.

    Like others have said. If it hurts to pee its most likely a UTI. Id def call the dr. FX!

    Thank you so much everyone! I actually work in healthcare ( family practice) and I dipped my urine today and I'm right borderline of having a UTI! My OB said if it my symptoms get worse they will check my urine at my appt Tuesday. But they don't want to treat it yet. I don't remember being this paranoid with my first.. It's going to be a long 8 months!!
