My doctor said if I got pregnant again they would put me on progesterone for the first 12 weeks I've had two miscarriages this year one 4 weeks the other 6 weeks does anyone know how long I should wait to start trying again

    You're doctor should have mentioned how long you should wait, if you even need to wait at all. My OB said we could try right away after our first very early loss, we did and went through a second loss (not to say that happens to everyone, each person's fertility is different). I'm currently waiting to talk to him about testing to see why the losses are occurring. I would consult with your physician to get the Ok. From what I understand they usually say with very early losses it's best to wait until after next AF for dating purposes only

    My doctor said the same thing to me. Mine told me to wait 3 cycles before trying to conceive but everyone is different. Like pp said your doctor should have said something and if not you should for sure check with him/her!

    I recently had a miscarriage and last Friday had a D&C, we are trying with a second IVF, my doctor told me we are gonna do the transfer as soon I have my period, so I'm waiting.. But what I know it's that every person it's different so you should trust your doc, or ask for a 2nd opinion.

    I had a MMC at 12 weeks and baby was 9 weeks.  I was told one cycle.

    I think they only say you're more fertile after a miscarriage if you'd had the D & C procedure.....With my very early loss, that wasn't needed so I don't think it applied to me.

    I've had both a d&c and a chemical pregnancy and for both, my cycles were messed up for two months after.  It frustrates me so much when I hear that you are more fertile after a miscarriage.  For me, that is definitely not the case.  It might be true for others, but every time I hear it, it drives me nuts.  (I'm currently on my second messed up cycle following the chemical.)

    Good luck to you, though.  I hope your situation is different than mine.

    BFP 2/19/15  •  MMC found at 9 wks  •  D&E at 11 wks (age 36)
    BFP 8/29/15      •  CP (age 37)
    BFP 11/18/15  •  DD born at 41 weeks <3(age 37/38)

    TTC#2 since May 2017
    BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)
    BFP 2/16/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 4/13/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
    BFP 9/24/18  •      CP (age 40)
    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    I have read and been told by my GP that you can be "more fertile" but I don't believe it's proven for sure. Like PP I had a really LONG cycle after loss #1 and I'm dreading waiting out this one. Wishing you luck!
