Target psa

Not sure if this has been posted yet, I'm mobile and can't figure out the search.
Target is having a deal- spend 150$ on baby items and get a 25$ gift card. On top of that, order 3 boxes of qualifying diapers and get a 20$ gift card. Then, certain baby bath items are buy 3, get a 5$ gift card!
So, with free store pickup, I just spent 160$ and am getting 50$ worth of gift cards! It feels so good to scratch so many items off our list of things to buy! Just thought I'd share.

It's online as well, not for maternity clothes though.

  • I ordered it online and am doing in store pickup. I ended up getting 3 boxes of diapers (2 size 1 and 1 size 2), aveeno baby wash, lotion, and aveeno calming wash, a 100 count box of breast pads, a diaper bag, and a changing pad cover! 164 including tax and 50$ worth of gift cards! I'd say that's a steal! I didn't notice any maternity clothes but virtually all baby items were included. Even baby food!
  • I just went and looked, I created a whole careful of awesomeness, just waiting for DH to approve :)

    Thanks so much!
  • @thisusername you're so welcome! Hopefully your DH approves!

aveeno baby wash, lotion, and aveeno calming wash

I swear by this stuff! J&J made her break out in a rash at like 5 days old so I started using this stuff. I've only used aveeno calming lavender lotion and body wash since DD was a newborn and I definitely think it helped DD start sleeping thru the night at 5 weeks.. And have such great night sleeps since then! (Minus the normal sleep regression stages!)

  • @Soon2bStaff good to know! I used Johnson and Johnson or baby magic for DD but wanted to try something new for DS. If it helps him sleep that'll be wonderful!
  • Quick question... so say I get something like the Pampers that qualifies for the $20 gift card, does that amount also count toward the $150 total? Or do I need to buy $150 worth of other stuff that doesn't have a gift card deal? I'm headed over tonight after work.

Yes!!! Best way to do this::
3 boxes of diapers- $20 gift card and each box is around $25 = $75-80
    3 baby wash items- ($5 gift card) = $20
buy some Randoms to get to $150 and get $50 in gift cards total
OR buy 6 boxes of diapers and get $65 in gift cards total

I also use lavender essential oil on her feet. Two drops in my hands, rub my hands together to get it nice and warm, and then hold my hands on the bottom of her feet for a few seconds, then rub in, then lotion all over. Again, nothing that I have science behind that this and the lotion are helping her sleep so well but not going to change it up. Definitely could be the routine of it all too! Have been doing this same routine since she was maybe 3-4 weeks old. :) Glad you got such a good deal though! IMO, the Aveeno regular lotion smells horrible but that could just be the heightened sense of smell I have.

I used j&j lavender for dd and I do believe it helped so I totally agree with you! I'll have to see which kind I got and smell it. My DH picked up the order yesterday but I just put it away without really looking! Might have to make an exchange if it doesn't smell good. Nothing better than a freshly bathed lavender smelling newborn :)
  • @dtaded13 Thank you so much for sharing this! DH and I are headd there when he get's home! You rock!
  • I just bought the Ergobaby360 today at Target! It's $159 so it qualifies for the $25 giftcard plus it has its own $20 giftcard-so it was like getting it for $125. Plus I used my Target debit card and got an extra 5% off!
  • Got 6 boxes of diapers tonight! $65 in gift cards!! Thanks for the heads up!!

  • I'm glad so many people are able to take advantage of this awesome deal!

Totally hijacking this thread (sorry!)...I heard using EO on babies can cause seizures. Yes or no?

  • @brushesnbrunch I haven't heard that about h seizures (but I could very well be true) but I have heard you need to dilute them quite a bit? I don't know if that's true either. I'm so nervous to use them because I don't know enough about HOW to use them. I should really look into it.

  • @ohbaby714 so I just looked it up because I was curious and found a physician who wrote an article that points out the pros and cons of it. I think it's pretty informative without being too biased to one side..

To hijack this even further (sorry) - That's the same article I found yesterday after you posted your comment and I googled it. Definitely something to look into! I haven't had time to read it but, with great timing, we had our DD's routine doc appt yesterday and I did ask her about the oils. Disclaimer: We have only used the lavender and that's the only one I brought to her attention. She didn't see a problem with them and side-eyed my comment about causing seizures. Which, it's a double edge sword with everything that causes everything nowadays. Number 1 though, I would never ingest this stuff (just a quick skim of the article) and when DD was a newborn all the way through one-ish, we would put two drops in our hands, rub them together, and then put her lotion in our hands before rubbing all that in her feet and giving her legs a mini massage. By that time, we would have already done lotion everywhere else. So, I guess that was a way of diluting it, again skimming the article. Definitely to each their own but I personally would like to read more into this just to better educate myself. I have never heard of it causing seizures so definitely not something to ignore if there's true findings!

Sidenote: I have $175 in my shopping cart and just waiting to press confirm order ahhh! :)

  • @soon2bstaff yeah reading the article a little makes me think that maybe those who experienced seizures didn't do any sort of dilution? I don't know though..I don't use them very often - usually to make cleaning supplies for around the house, but I'd be interested to see if they work on babies..I have friends that swear by it, but I also have friends that think it's all crap so who knows!

  • Oh no, I think I missed the sale. When did it end?
  • It ended last week I believe
  • I think they are still doing a gift card with diaper purchases though. Not sure why my posts keep cutting off...
  • The first deal is over. The diapers are now $35/pack right now and you only get $10 back. DH and I looked the other night when we were there. At the other sale, they were $25/pack and you got $20 back. So we are going to wait before we go there again.
  • Target currently has a deal for some baby items on their cartwheel, like the ergo is 30% off, a Britax carseat is 30% off, a couple monitors at 30% off and a lot of baby toys!
  • I looked up the two monitors from the cartwheel app on Amazon and they don't have very good reviews.

  • I was disappointed by the monitors too after reading reviews
  • Here's another target deal :)

Just scored this travel system for $58!!

Was on clearance for $98 then cartwheel had a 40% off coupon! It's only good till tomorrow though.
