A brother for Matthew?

We don't know what we are having yet, as Im only 7 weeks along, but we've been spitballing name ideas and its pretty conclusive that we cannot agree on a boys name. Our son is Matthew Michael, and my husband is very very set on Weston James. I think its OK, its probably number 3 or 4 on my list, but I just don't LOVE it. My top choices are the following but I am open to similar "classic" names:

Benjamin Paul (nn Ben or Benny)

Ryan James (nn RJ)

Weston James (nn Wes)

The good news is we have a girl name nailed down!

    I'm not a fan of Weston, so trendy compared to a classic like Matthew

    I do like Christopher, though wouldn't pair it with James due to the fact that it would get shortened to CJ, and Im not a fan of that nn.

    Maybe Christopher Paul (my husbands middle name is Paul)

    Weston is sooo trendy. Is Wesley a compromise? Benjamin and Ryan pair much better.

    But thank you for reaffirming that Weston IS so trendy, and it just doesn't pair with our classic Matthew!

    I like Benjamin Paul best out of your choices. I like the sound of Benjamin James even more. :)

    I just cant with that one. I KNOW someone in my family is going to try to shorten it to "BJ" and I just cant......

    I like James as a first name (although I am biased as DS1 is named James. Out of your list I like Benjamin the best. It's a nice traditional name just like your first son. That doesn't mean that you have to go traditional for a second boy though. Go for a name you both love, not just because it matches the style of your first son.

    Ok ladies.... And now we have agreed to start from scratch. Middle name will now be Jesse after my grandfather. Aaaaand GO! Lol

    I really dislike the Easton/Weston trend, sorry to your H.

    My son is Matthew! We are having a girl, but had we been having a boy, our top names were:

    Owen
    John nn jack
    Oliver
    Peter
    Arthur
