Can symptoms change day to day?

Hello... I'm sorry if I'm posting too many questions. This first time pregnancy thing is stressful for someone who likes to be in control of herself & always know what's going on. Last night, my breasts were so sore that going from sitting down on the couch to standing up hurt soooo much! They have been hurting for about a week now. This morning I woke up & they felt normal; haven't hurt all day... as of right now as I write, my symptoms are gone & I feel completely normal. If I didn't have a missed period, I'd have no idea I was pregnant. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? If it were up to me, I'd have my primary dr test my hcg levels every week. ::sigh:: I'm so paranoid. I'm 5w5d along.

  • Yes it is normal. Symptoms come and go. I haven't had official morning sickness yet. I've had food aversions, migraines, fatigue, a little nausea and some boob tenderness. But it's not all or nothing and it comes and goes. I'm mobile so I don't know how far along you are either.

  • All normal. Do your best not to let little things freak you out. :) First pregnancies are worrisome for everyone.

  • It's normal. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and still no morning sickness, which is unheard of for me. With my last two I was sick from 5-16 weeks straight. Every experience is unpredictable and different. Just try to enjoy the times without symptoms :)

  • I'm a first time preggo also and in the same boat as you - worrying about every little feeling/non-feeling and what it could mean! My boobs were really sore the day before and of my PPT, then were fine for a week. Yesterday though they were killing me just sitting around! Today I was able to go on a short jog and no pain/discomfort at all. It's so weird how they come and go! Also I have only short 5min spurts of nausea right now, which I'm thankful for, but I would almost also have full blown nausea just so I know this is real! I don't feel that much different than I did before I was pregnant, so that makes me anxious! But I'm really trying to stay calm and just enjoy being pregnant with no symptoms right now, because I know if they come, I will miss these days! First OB appt is a week from tomorrow - I'm 5w3d right now so it still is a little early for a lot of the symptoms to kick in!
  • I had the same thing happen!! I was nauseous, sore boobs, tired, etc. that didn't even start until week 5. About 6 days ago, woke up feeling like a normal person and have since. Had an US today and everything was normal. Try not to worry too much. Easier said then done (I have been a mess all week and still don't feel totally at ease). I'm 7w4d today.
  • I'm a FTM as well and have had many symptoms come and go in my 8 weeks (today :D). I've heard so much that symptoms are and will be all over the place that I simply don't worry about it. I'm currently enjoying not feeling like I'm about to throw up, not enjoying the headache.

It's all out of my control, whatever happens with baby is meant to be. I have enough to worry about that I don't need to add symptoms to the pot.

Try to relax and enjoy your lack of annoying symptoms. They might be back at some point. Only let yourself worry if you start bleeding or are in a lot of pain, or your doctor gives you a reason to worry.
  • Also, I'll add that my boobs only REALLY hurt in the 5-6 week range and that was my first symptom. They are a lot better now and only feel sore if handled too much or poked. Maybe it's one of the first things our bodies do to gear up for pregnancy.
  • Definitely normal - I remember this with my first. I felt weird for a few days (like weird stomach stretching/churning feeling) and then most symptoms disappeared for a week or two until food aversions/nausea kicked in.

This is my third, so I don't get too worried anymore. I have felt the same way so far. My symptoms are mostly gone, except very slight food aversions. But, I expect things to come back full force in a week or two!
