Acupuncture?

I have been so excited for the last week because today the Dr was supposed to sweep my membrane however upon his examination he told me that I am "still closed right up but starting to soften". I was seriously disappointed. I was really hoping to get things moving a bit, or at the very least find out I was making some progress. I realize that you can stay dilated for weeks or go from completly closed to having a baby that same day, however I was still totally bummed. I have an appointment for some acupuncture tomorrow and have heard good things and talked to people that swear by it. Just curious if anyone has tried it? Success stories? I have been walking a ton, bouncing on my exercise ball, squats, raspberry leaf tea, dates, pineapple....

    I tried it and it worked for me. I had 3 appointments and 2 hours after the 3rd one my water broke. I was 40w3d so my son was probably ready but accupuncture help get things started for me.

    I worked for 2 different chiropractors who would do acupuncture on mama's who were due soon but Dr's were wanting to induce. The wonderful thing with acupuncture is it totally works with your body so if baby is ready then progress happens. Otherwise, nothing will happen. I highly recommend it! :)
