How far along were you when you got your first one ,?
5 weeks and a few days because I had previous losses. Many women only receive one ultrasound, the anatomy scan, around 20 weeks.
May I ask why you're wondering? The experience of other people in this area will be all over the place. If you're asking for a specific reason you're more likely to receive more relevant feedback if you state some background information.
I get one for dating between 8 and 10 weeks. There is an optional 12 week NT ultrasound and screening that I have had done with my two previous pregnancies so I'll do it again this time. I believe everyone will get a 20 week anatomy scan. This one is much longer as the tech takes measurements of various organs and body parts.
My neighbor had twins and she had a lot of u/s to check growth and such. Each person and OB office is different. If you want to know what yours offers call and ask.
Five weeks but only because I thought I was further along. I had another one at 8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy was progressing since all we could see at the five week ultrasound was a sac.
