  At 27 weeks I received a low blood platelet count and low hematocrit labs... how did they diagnose your anemia? They are waiting for a second round of blood tests in a couple weeks to decide for me.

  If you have numbers for the blood platelet and hematocrit, I'd love to know what you got. Mine are low, but I'm wondering how low before a diagnosis comes.

  My platelets were 19 when I had my daughter. She was fine. I have itp so my platelets are always low, pregnancy just made them worse. I had to have a c section under general anesthesia because I couldn't have an epidural. I go tomorrow to check them for this pg

  I was diagnosed with anemia last week. They had monitored my blood work over a few weeks because they were borderline low, but started me on meds because there was a downward teens. The most recent levels were RBC- 3.09; Hematocrit - 33.9 and Hemaglobin- 11. They started me on iron and I already feel better after only about a week.

  Thanks for the numbers, Jaylin. Mine are VERY close to yours, within a couple tenths of a point on each. On the phone they said possible anemia, but they will test me again in a couple of weeks to verify. I'm interested to see how this plays out. Thanks again!
