How do you ladies manage your days?

Hey ladies!
Just wondering how everyone is managing their days? I'm always feeling like I didn't get as much done as if like while tending to LO also. I feel like it's hard to get myself "ready" every day and get home stuff done or business stuff. Let alone working out as much as I'd like. I feel like I always see mums looking so put together and doing so much. Is it just me having a hard time?

Re: How do you ladies manage your days?

  • It's tough, I definitely don't have everything done every day. I have a list of things in my head that I arrange in order of priority and just try to get 2 things done off that list each day. That is on top of the everyday have to dos like make family dinner, and baby's bath/bed routine. I know that if I want to take time to really put myself together that day, something will be left undone. It's not just you at all. I think we are all going through it. The moms I see that seem super put together and getting a lot done tend to have older kids, like 3 or 4. I just chalk it up to them having had longer to practice the art of motherhood, we'll get there!

  • Nope not just you. I work 9 hours a day and my husband works 8 1/2-9 hours a day so by the time we get home eat supper get showers and spend time with our daughter we don't have the motivation or time to do anything else. I use to keep our house spotless but now it's nowhere near spotless. I try to get stuff done but I put her first. I would love to be able to work out but by the time I get a break or time to myself it's after 9 pm and I'm ready for bed. I get up about 6 every morning so I never have much free time for anything
  • I work three days a week and have the ability to come home between my job responsibilities, so I sometimes get stuff done in those times since she's not around. The days when I am home with her I feel very disorganized. I try to put a cleaning schedule together and at least stay on top of laundry, but most weeks I feel like I'm barely making it. I think those moms that are really "put together" either have tons of help, or they have a ridiculous amount of self motivation! From what I have seen, the period from 6 months to 12 months seems pretty stable, so naps and feeding will remain about the same for a few months. I think that should help me to plan accordingly. Up until this point, I would never really know how much time I had to get things done during naps or if her bedtime needed to move up or down. Hope you can all find a little routine in the midst of the chaos (myself included)!
  • The only way i can actually get things done is when i wake up to get my 6 year old ready for school and my other 3 r asleep. Because during the day when Their awake theres no way. But i make sure that everyday before i go to bed to have my list ready of everything i have to do the next day. Because if not, theres times im so stressed i cant remember wat i need to do.
