Freshly moved and overwhelmed

cross country move completed
No OBGYN and my insurance doesn't cover things in my state (it was a state insurance program)
I was supposed to have my rhogam shot last week but couldn't due to everything
I just realized today how CLOSE we are to having this baby and I am nowhere near ready. All I've bought is like 30 dollars worth of clothing. Sigh.. Help

Re: Freshly moved and overwhelmed

  • Ug that does sound very overwhelming! Just take a step back and relax - you can do this! Make a list of the big things and start working on them one by one. It will be ok!

  • I feel your pain. We just moved, not across country, but it was still very stressful. Just do not try to get everything done at once. Take your time and try to plan it week to week. You will get it all sorted!

  • We moved in September. I think the biggest tip I have is dedicate days to certain things. M-W-F: spend time doing baby stuff, whether that is shopping, organizing, making a to do list, researching hospitals and ob's etc. T-Th-Sun: House. Unpack and organize.

Leave yourself at least one off day to relax. And you don't have to go non-stop the other days, either. I found that dedicating days to XYZ helps me get things done a little better.
