1st Time Csection Mummy

I had to have an elective csection with my daughter at 39+5,

Im recovering ok, just wanted to ask if anyone with any prev csections could give me some advice!

Im having panic attacks thinking that the stitches are gna errupt inside of me and i wont no that its happened and my minds going all over the place.

Also im worried im gna overdo it and make myself worse but i cant keep staying at home and sitting about as its driving me insane!

TIA

Re: 1st Time Csection Mummy

  • I had my second c-section on 9/23 (edd was 10/5). While the complications you mention do happen, it is certainly not the norm. As long as You are feeling ok, try not to stress!

And, as far as overdoing it, just pay attention to your body. I've been naval atone stairs since the first day we got home from the hospital and I've been out of the house pretty much everyday since then. I get stir crazy so can't just sit here. If I start to feel tired I rest and if my incision feels sore, I just take it easy the rest of the day and the next day.

  • Make sure to take your meds, I have to take 3-ibuprofens every 6 hours, take your stool softeners, and gas x if they offer it.
