We are stuck on names! Not only are we unsure of a first name, my mom is putting pressure on me to use the name Sophia as a middle name in honor of my grandmother who passed away in late October 2012. This baby will likely arrive in late October, so the timing will be close to my grandmother's passing. My husband and I like the name Sophia and were very close to my grandma, so we are trying to incorporate it as a middle name. We have a semi-difficult last name to spell, so picking an easy first name is a consideration for us. In parenthesis I put the popularity of each first name for our region. We really love Madelyn, but do not like the nickname Maddie, so we are not sure we should even go there. Our son's name is Andrew. We do not have a problem with people calling him Drew or Andy because we introduce him as Andrew. Thank you for your help!

I voted Emily Sophia but I would like Sophia Grace best combining your options. Have you considered it as a first name or would that be too difficult after losing your grandmother?

Lauren Sophia sounds reminds me Sophia Loren the late actress.

It's refreshing to see Grace used as a first name. I think of Grace Kelly... beautiful name! I voted Grace Madelyn, but I think Grace Sophia would also be a lovely combination if you want to honor your grandmother.
