Cycle Status: CD14. I had a + OPK on Friday but when I went in for my scan and blood work on Saturday they said it was a false + and I hadn't O'd yet or was anywhere close to it. I'm back to getting - OPKs and feel like I'm getting a cyst on my left ovary so who knows what is going on. More blood work and ultrasound tomorrow.

Cycle Day 16.

Beyond frustrated! I went in on a Saturday to be checked since I am getting close (they sent me running around Fri to get more meds for Fri and Sat) and they sent me a message to my patient portal saying I needed more meds for Sunday, too!!! Well, they didn't send in the rx for a 3rd extra day!!! I had to chase them down to let them know I didn't have meds for Sunday. Having to get these meds on the fly is SUPER expensive. And...I found out last week there is no more Bravelle due to a recall, so I had to take 8 Menopur instead. The recall is due to a possible problem with the half life that might make it less potent. Is that why I am having such shitty results this time??? I havenow been on stim meds for 15 days. Going in for my check up this morning and I better be triggering tonight. Friday I spent $1280 for 2 nights of menopur at Walgreens...then Sat I had to go back to a different Walgreens and spend $1600 for just one night of the meds. How can Walgreens have such a drastic price difference? Shouldn't walgreens all charge the same?!?!?!

QOTW: I don't...I just try to stay positive and even that is really difficult this time.

CD10 - Was monitored this morning - on the right, 3 at 13mm, 3 at 10mm, on the left 2 at 10, and a smaller one around 6. Waiting to hear back this afternoon about bloodwork. I suspect my second IUI will be late this week or this weekend.

I think of this whenever I start feeling down because I'm almost 43 years old, and maybe I waited too long. It reminds me that I took charge when the time was right, and if it was meant to be, it will happen because I took the steps to make it happen.

@Roeni - OMG that is horrible about those meds! Will you be reimbursed at all by your insurance? I'm also very curious about the price difference at the different Walgreens. What did the pharmacist say about it?

ErikaMG we are not using insurance for meds bec it would eat up the entire lifetime max and then some. The pharmacist said something about being a backup to the other walgreens, but I still don't see why they would charge more. I believe the first walgreens also applied a coupon and the 2nd walgreens did not have this coupon.

Hello ladies! I'm currently about to ovulate and doing TI. I've been ovulating really early on letrezole, CD 9-10. I had an appointment today to check follies and estradiol levels, but I cancelled it. We've come to the conclusion that we need a break from the dr., for both financial and schedule reasons. It's really hard for me to take time off as I own a daycare right now, so my mom and DH have been helping me watch the kids while I go on appointments. My mom is in the UK, and DH is too busy w/work to help. I'm pretty sure he will be traveling during my next ovulation too
So I will be continuing my metformin for my PCOS, but this will be my last cycle on letrozole and trigger at least until Dec/Jan when I close my daycare. Then I start looking for a teaching job!

I don't have a phrase or quote, but I try to think that the longer it takes, the older my 2 daughters will be, and the more they will be able to help and be good big sisters. I also think of all of the reasons why if love to have a baby born in the month we are trying for. And when that month doesn't work out, I think about how awesome the next month would be. Like if we are successful- then due date would be July, it's my DH and DD2 birthdays, plus it's summer and nice out.

Update! Triggering tonight at 10:00. I am not feeling too optimistic though...right now my follie sizes are Left-10, 14, 10, and 13 and Right 12, 23, 20, and 17. We are also doing PGS, but I am doubting we will even get more than 1 embryo to test. I like to be optimistic but I am also realistic. At age 35 I had 14 eggs retrieved, 12 were mature, 10 fertilized and we had 6 blasts...only one of those resulted in a baby. I will be lucky to get 4 mature eggs this time

HI Ladies...Nothing new has changed with my cycle. I am still on CD who knows..way past 28 and just waiting for AF or even some spotting to come up. DH and I have been trying to BD every other night in case any of the 2-3 follies we saw around CD 25 decided to grow and ovulate. (we were doing really great with it until this weekend..it was my son's 3rd birthday so we were really busy) They were around 10 mm that day and the dr said we could ovulate or we could not. If no AF or spotting at all by next Wed/Thursday I am supposed to call and they will check me again. I doubt we will get pregnant this month but I keep thinking how crazy it would be after going through IUI's and then canceling this cycle with no response if it happened at home. But i'm not getting my hopes up for that. Next cycle will be clomid plus injectable IUI. I think it's a waste though and we should move to IVF but DH is hesitant so we agreed to do IUI until end of Jan/Early Feb

No quotes here but I have heard to remember that this process is a marathon not a sprint.

Short Into: ....I was a long time poster when I went through my initial IUI/IVF journey on the other board. On my 3rd IVF cycle we ended up with Twin Girls. They are now 2.5 years old.

We wanted to use our only remaining Embies and find out what our final Family size is so we just comleted our only FET.

I am 1DPT for my FET, Both Embies made the thaw. These were our last two, we will be done after this and will not try any more. One looked better then the other, we transferred both. My Beta is scheduled for 11/2. I will POAS before that.

@mpetri - not sure why you intro'ed/checked in here. You haven't posted on this board since July and now come in after your FET? I wish you best of luck with it but for anyone else lurking/thinking of intro-ing it is not considered good form to intro while waiting to POAS.

Cycle Status: CD 12. I brought a pack of OPKs this month. DH and I decided in Aruba that we would try on our own until our adoption profile goes live (which won't be until December). The adoption process has been hard and stressful but we are in the home stretch (hopefully). Home study is officially completed, we have a meeting on 10/27 with our adoption agency about the profile and videos we have to make for the birth parents to view. Once those things are done we go live! We're so close to the end but everything takes 800 times longer then you would expect.

My period never showed up after coming off of the monthly lupron injections so my re put me on BC. I am on the last week of pills and start stims nov. 5th for our 2nd Ivf. Fingers crossed I don't get canceled again.

QOTW: this is not necessarily my motivation but this board is a constant reminder that I'm not alone in this and the smallest bit of support can go such a long way.
