BPF line getting lighter

Hello all,

Pretty new to this site and looking to get some opinions. We have been trying to conceive for 3 months now. I ovulated around Sept 29-30. Got a faint BFP on 12dpo that got consistently darker until 15dpo (same test FRER using FMU). Decided to skip a day bc I was sure I was pg and didn't want to keep using up tests. I took 2 this morning (FRER & CB digital) figuring my HCG would of doubled. The CB said 'not pregnant' and the FRER is MUCH lighter. My period is due tomorrow. Does this look like a CP? I'll try to upload a picture.

    Please don't upload a picture as it is against TOU. Did you use FMU to test?

    It's hard to know without a beta HCG series over several days, but failure to implant could be one cause. It also depends on time of day and urine concentration. Can you call your OB and see if they will bring you in for bw? I think they would in this case.

    If you used fmu, I'd say there's a decent chance its a CP unfortunately. I would do as PP said and give your doctor a call to see if they can run some blood work to see what's going on.

    I called OB thursday and the earliest she could get me in is this thursday. I'm starting to get crampy, feels very AF like. Should I still go even if AF comes tomorrow as she was supposed to?

    I refuse to ever test early again. So heartbreaking.

    No, if you're getting negatives on tests and AF comes, there's really nothing they can do. I'm sorry you're going through this. The ladies on the TTGP board are incredibly supportive, and I think you should consider joining them over there when you are ready.

    I'm sorry, it does sound like a chemical pregnancy.  However, I vote for getting some bloodwork.  Reason being, if you do - god forbid - go on to have an additional loss, you'll have clinical proof of this one.  Once you have two, sometimes three losses, repeat pregnancy loss testing can be ordered.

    Honestly It could be a CP or it could be totally fine. I am a weird take a million tests type of lady too. It took 3-4 after getting my first positive just because I had them. The FRER were getting darker and then all of a sudden one was a lot lighter. I of course was worried but here I am still pregnant. I would try not to worry until you know you have something to worry about.

    Everyone else is right; it totally could be a CP. I'm not here to get your hopes up but HPT are so sensitive that they are not made to continously give BFP because they are made to detect a small amount of hcg. Keep your appointment with you doctor. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

    I'm sorry. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do if you are suffering a CP. Its best for you if you try to stop POAS and just wait until your appointment. The line darkness could make you nuts and cause you more heartache

    I'm so sorry. If you don't get AF then I'd keep the appointment, but if your bleeding gets worse then I'd cancel.
