  • Agree with PP. Oils and creams cannot penetrate past the top layer of skin and stretch marks occur much deeper. Although the creams can help with keeping the skin soft and maybe allow it to heal faster.
  • Agree with PP. sadly no cream will prevent stretch marks. My tummy is a road map.
  • You'll either get them or you won't, unfortunately. I was told by my OB that slow gradual weight gain is your best chance at avoiding them. In my first two pregnancies, I only got a few on my sides. We will see what happens this round...
  • I have a cabinet full of creams and a belly full of stripes.

  • With my first pregnancy I didn't get them until the last 4 weeks when my stumoch just grew like crazy nothing really helped but I was wondering if anyone knows any creams that will help them fade quicker. Doesn't really matter much since I am pregnant again but I was just wondering.

Read the above posts. There's nothing you can put on you to stop them or get rid of them, its a combination of genetics and how fast your skin has to stretch.
  • @karinatach I think bio oil helps post-stretch marks to fade!
