First and second name starting with the same letter, weird?

Hi Ladies,

I tried searching first and couldn't find anything that relates to this.
My partner and I can't seem to agree on any names for our little girl. I hate his ideas and he hates mine.

So we just decided to each come up with a name ,the names are final and no one gets to comment about the other person's name choice.

I have chosen Leano ( it's a South African -Tswana name) and he his choice was Layla.

I obviously dont like his choice, but have to live with it. I am just wondering if it doesn't sound weird to have Baby's First and middle name starting with the same letter.??? Leano Layla just doesn't sound right to me. :-w

If we go with our current choice and my maiden name as her middle name, like we are planning, both will begin with R.

I wouldn't side eye it at all.
My sister wants to name her baby Lenny Lavender. I think alliterations can be really cute.

I like that name, I think it's so pretty and don't think it's weird at all. My first and middle have the same initial, first time I've thought about it, and it has a nice flow. I think the same of others I know with the same letter for both.

Our little girl will have the same letter for first and middle, at first I thought it was weird too but the names sound great together so it's grown on me!

Our LO will have the same first and second initial, too - and not because we really wanted the alliteration or anything. They were just the two names we both agreed on - and if they just happen to flow and sound really nice together, it must be meant to be, right? I say go for it.
