Who's taken promethazine ?

I've got the worst (all day) sickness and can barely eat and have lost weight. Diclegis helps but I still can't eat.my doctor told me promethazine would hopefully help me and I'll be able to eat. She said I could take it with the diclegis. Has anyone else ever taken both?

    I refused to take phergan (promethazine) and did the at home version of diclegis (half a unisom and a b6 twice a day) that worked well for me, but I am not a doctor. I will warn you though that phergan will make you very tired and knock you out for a while and is a class c Med during pregnancy. Many swear by it though!

    Thanks! I'm taking one in the morning and then diclegis I'm taking two a night and one during the day if I have to. But I have been so sick all day that I couldn't even eat anything anymore and I've taken the promethazine two days now and I've actually eaten more than I have in two weeks and I've felt a little better. Now it's not back to regular eating but it's been something! I never thought that I would have felt this sick so long. And I love this app cause I've gotten a few good comments on help from people so thank you!

    I took phenergan when I got food poising in one of my previous pregnancies. It was a life saver. Yes, it will knock you out but I think that's the point ;) Also, my child turned out fine and healthy.

    I'm taking Promethezine..well I was. My MC has really cut down to where I don't really need it. It made me tired at first and very sick if I didn't eat a meal before I took it (some kind of protein is best). The tiredness wore off after I got used to it and it knocked out my MC. It was great for me when I needed it.

    I had to take promethazine with my first 2 pregnancies. I had severe morning sickness but the promethazine helped soooo much. It will knock you out until your body gets used to it. I'm pregnant with our 3rd child and I actually had to go to the e.r. for throwing up (not pregnancy related, was before I knew I was pregnant) and I got a script for it. Then we found out about 4 days later that I'm pregnant and no Dr appointment for another 3 weeks. I plan on sparingly taking it until I can go to my OBGYN and get another script for it. It relaly works wonders for me and I hope it can help you as well.
