Constant all day nausea but no vomiting? Anyone else?!

Hi guys, just wondering, I've been having constant sick-to-my-stomach nausea all day long. It'll worsen in waves and I'll run to the toilet but nothing will come up. I just keep dry-wretching and gagging (sorry tmi) all the time. I don't know if it's my crazy horrific nerves and fear or my hormones and morning sickness. But I'm only 105lbs and I have no appetite so I'm loosing weight. Literally Everytime I think about food I gag. No kidding :(

Sounds like morning sickness! This what how I felt all day after 6 weeks with DS.

  • I have been feeling like throwing up pretty much 24/7, but gets worse in waves. I have not thrown up yet. I wouldn't mind throwing up if it meant a little bit of relief but I've always found with my morning sickness, my body doesn't want me to vomit.

  • Omg so me right now. This morning was the first time where I'm sure that if anything had been in there, it would have come up.

  • 100%. It's like I know I need to eat because it'll probably help, but I feel so crappy i just don't want to so I stare at the fridge instead. It makes me sad, I miss food.
  • Oh my goodness. This has definitely been me every day for the past week or so. From about 10 minutes after I get out of bed in the morning until I go to bed at night I have been constantly nauseous and have had to seriously think to come up with anything that the thought of eating doesn't make me gag. I hope this doesn't last too long!! :-O

I had severe morning sickness til I was 7 months along with my first. We just found out we are expecting our second. I didn't even have to take a test to know I was pregnant (I took 2 just to make sure), we went to a cook out, and the smell of the food literally made me nauseous. I threw up this morning, morning sickness is officially in full throttle.
  • Same here-no actual vomit... Luckily!
  • ME ME ME! LOL
  • Yes. This is exactly how I felt for the past two weeks or so. I finally threw up last night and I made me feel better, at least for a little bit.
  • Thanks everyone can't believe how many of you are in the same boat! What the heck are our bodies doing?! :P I'm very concerned about going back to work if I feel like this all the time. And the exhaustion is awful too it's like a challenge to get from the couch to the kitchen haha. :'(
  • Yup. I feel the same way. No throwing up. Every morning I have diarrhea and that makes me gag. What I've found really helps with the nausea is water with slices of fresh ginger and some lemon juice. I feel like I can't get enough water and the ginger really helps settle my stomach. I really recommend this to everyone who can stand the taste of ginger.
  • I have a pretty much constant low level nausea that gets worse in little peaks throughout the day. It's worst after I eat and in the middle of the night. No throwing up yet but sometimes I just wish I would to feel better. I'm only 4 and a half weeks so I'm curious to see if it gets worse or stays the same.
  • I have nausea too, but no throwing up yet either! Food sounds gross, some meals I just have to force myself to eat. What I found that gives me temporary relief is sipping on green olive juice! Lol They are called Mazanilla olives. Im having some diarrhea too(TMI sorry)
  • This is me all day every day! I get little windows where I will crave something and I have like a half hour to get it in my stomach before that makes me gag too! I have not thrown up since I was a kid so I don't think my body remembers how. But the 24/7 nausea is definitely a thing!

  • Ugh I know I have no desire for food at all and it's so hard to eat anything. Haven't thrown up yet I'm 6weeks today this stared 2 days ago and I'm afraid to eat something that will make me puke I will do anything to keep from vomiting. But I'm worried my baby isn't getting the nurition it needs to how healthy! I take prenatal vitamins at night because it's easier to stomach but still I want my baby to be as healthy as possible what do I do?? :((
  • I have nausea throughout the day but never any actual vomit. It's terrible but I'd rather not throw up. My nose is super sensitive so anything makes me sick
  • Yup, this is me lately.  Of course I haven't thrown up since age 6 so I sort of expected the not-throwing-up part.  Eat small meals, even through the gagging.  It helps.  A piece of bread, crackers, granola bar, some nuts...something easy on the stomach.  I just ate a piece of cheese and want to hurl so I'm not sure I'd recommend dairy at the moment though...lol.
  • This is how I feel daily...I absolutely wish some type of food would become appealing. No vomiting, just naseau and Lilwatz (comment above) totally describes my life right now!!!
  • My midwife said the best thing to do is force yourself to eat a little snack every 2 hours that is high in protein. I'd been feeling the same way but I'm forcing myself to eat a handful of almonds or half a Greek yogurt or a few bites of a protein bar every 2 hours and I haven't felt sick, just at night because I'd rather not get up every 2 hours just yet.
  • Right there with you. Dry heaving and all. When I can tolerate the thought and the smell of food, I do my best to eat it right away. And I usually feel better after I do. But that is rare. Most of the time, I'm gagging at the mere thought of food. Last pregnancy, I lost 12 pounds in the first trimester. I wonder how much I'll lose this time around.
  • This is me all this week.
I say it's worse than throwing up. At least when you throw up there's some relief but this constant wanting to vomit and dry reach is awful.
