Nausea?!

Okay ladies, I'm 10 weeks PP. Been on the progestin-only pill for 5 weeks, was exclusively breast feeding until 3 weeks ago, DH and I waited until after we started BC before we resumed sexy time, and yesterday what APPEARED to be aunt flows great PP debut began. Then this morning, not so much. Out of nowhere I have fallen violently nauseous. I even had to stop bathing DD to lean over and vomit (she said " are you puking? gross mom, why did you do that?"). What I'm getting at is: As far as we're concerned, we've played all of our preventative cards right, what are the odds by some freak incident that we could be pregnant again? I know I'm likely just being super paranoid, but wouldn't you be right now?? We wanted another LATER, but not now, we love our 4 year gap between each kiddo that we have going on!

Re: Nausea?!

  • It could be nothing. Its definitely the time of the year for all kinds of bugs. So it could just be a bug of some kind. Have you been very careful about taking your pill at the same time of day? I've heard that the progestin only pill is much more sensitive and you have to take it at the exact same time every day. It's actually the main reason I'm not going that route. I don't trust myself to do that, especially with a newborn!

  • Progestin only birth control is not as effective as the normal pill (which is why it isn't prescribed unless there is a reason to like breastfeeding). I know plenty of people with a mini-pill-baby. That being said, there is plenty going around like PP pointed out. Take a pregnancy test so you know for sure.
  • I'm a little nauseous just from bf and pp hormones. It's totally normal to have some m/s in fourthmester while bf. But my nausea is nowhere near vomiting territory, just a sour stomach kind of nausea.

  • Birth control makes me really nauseas I took a pregnancy test last week just to clear my mind, even though I knew it was extremely unlikely, and of course it was negative.. so I'm chalking it up to hormones
