Frustrated Rant

So today I decided I was going to do something for me. Just me. (Which I haven't done in I can't remember how long.) I mean this is probably my last chance to do so. I went to get my hair dyed professionally so that it would look really nice. So I wanted an ombre (brown to blonde fade) and made my appointment. Went in and she started, but there was some red in my hair being stubborn. Three hours later - THREE - and she just gave up. There is no blonde at all and it looks like she just dyed it all instead of doing the fade. Just frustrated because I paid way too much for something I could have done myself. I want my ombre!

    That's lame! I never speak up when I don't like my hair (or food, pedicure, etc) but I always want to. Totally sucks to pay for something you didn't want and don't like!

    Call and talk to the manager/owner of the salon and tell them you are unhappy. Maybe the have a Person there that specializes in color correction and the owner will absorb the cost. Sorry you had a shitty experience. You really should contact someone though. It's not fair to short change yourself

    Yeah I think I'm going to call. I just feel bad because she works with a friend of mine and gave me a discount because he does massages at the same spa. But seriously. Look at the pics...she didn't even get close to what I asked for.

    That looks like a brown to blonde ombré to me...I think it looks good, actually.

    Wait, I'm sorry -- is the bottom you, or is that the pic you showed her as a sample?

    Your color looks good, but is nothing like the pic and def not an ombré. You should call for sure!!

    Ok, yeah. That doesn't look ombré. In her defense though, pregnancy hormones can really effect how your hair takes chemicals. She should have explained that to you. I went in for ombré around 4 months and the stylist wouldn't do it for that reason. She gave me highlights instead, the process is different and more reliable.

    Hi, I'm a hairdresser and I know it's not what you wanted, but that color suits you very well. I think it's beautiful. She could have added more blonde on the bottom though, so you would have more of an ombre effect. However the pictures you showed her is a really bad dye job. Sorry to say. The only reason it looks good is because it's curled in the other pictures. Yikes!
