How cold is too cold for a walk with baby?

So I've been wanting to go for walks but I don't want to get baby sick. She is 5 weeks and I feel like anything under 65 might be too chilly. Are any of you going out for walks? What temp do you think is ok? What do you use for baby as in clothes or covers? I just bought a jjcole car seat cover and the bundle me. Feel free to post pics of your baby and what they are wearing during your walk. Thanks!

  • It's 61 degrees here and I just got back from a 2.5 mile walk with my little man. I wrap so I can pull the sides up over his head if it gets too chilly, which I did tonight. He loved it and slept the whole time.

  • I bundle with blankets in the car seat on the stroller and put a hat on her head.

Is that a moby wrap? I have one and have thought of using it for a walk.
  • We walk every morning and I put LO in a Tula carrier and snug as a bug even when it's only in the 50's.
  • @crlchino it's a Tula woven wrap but def the same concept. It's perfect for walks, and once he's bigger I can sling him on my back and really get at it ;)
  • It was 53 F here today, I took a long walk with the 2 littles and the dog. I wore baby in a woven wrap with legs in, to keep her warmer. In the winter I do up my coat over the baby up to their mid back. DD1 was a Devember baby and I wore her out in the snow often, so I don't think it's ever too cold as long as they're properly dressed.

  • Took LO and DD1 (6) on a walk today and wore her. She was snug as a bug!
  • I've taken DS2 outside when it's in the 50's. I put him in a warm sleeper, hat, and cover him with his fleece blanket. I'm a big proponent of getting babies fresh air.
  • It's never too cold for us! We are about to got and I will put her in a full onesie and put an light outerwear onesie on top of that and a hat and light blanket and if it's too windy I will cover the stroller with a swaddle cloth.
  • No such thing as too cold... dress the baby in layers (hat, leggings, long sleeves, etc) and throw a heavy blanket over them. The only time my December baby and I didn't go for a walk was if it was in the middle of a snowstorm or raining.
