I'm 6 weeks out and still have a tiny bit of bruising around the incision site. I also have a significant flap that I like to think protected the incision, trying to look on the bright side. At 2 weeks, it was still very painful to the touch. It got easier for me every day and by 4 weeks the incision was still a little tender, but I felt completely normal otherwise. What you're describing sounds normal.
3 weeks pp and still am sore and feel like road rash on my incision. I had a 2 week checkup for my blood pressure (which is good! and the doctor checked my incision and said that it was pretty normal looking and that it is typical to feel this way still. Glad I'm not alone. I otherwise feel pretty good!
I am almost 4 week pp and my incision is healing up ok. One thing that I noticed is the area between the incision and belly button has been extremely sensitive to the touch and painful. It's gotten better over time but it still hurts.
The first two weeks my incision would sting a little bit and burn in the shower. Now at 6 weeks pp I feel as if nothing happened and my incision is hardly noticible.
I'm 4 weeks pp and my incision is still sore to touch but feeling much better. It also feels numb like from my belly button down to where my incision is at. I'm guessing that's normal? I'm waiting for my 6 week postpartum appt to see when I can start to exercise again. Really wanting to get back in shape!
