Well my 5 week old baby sleeps on his side then ends up on his stomach they say put them in there back but he wakes up if I do so the only way he sleeps all night is laying on my chest on his stomach or on pillow on the bed what too do
Switching to back sleeping for newborns is the only recommendation that resulted in a steep reduction of sids rates. Could you put him on his side, then return 10min later to roll him on his back (when he's more deeply asleep?)
My son would only sleep on his tummy too. get one of the movement detector mats and have him sleep in the bassinet/cot in your room. That way you are both happy!
From one I read, if you put them on their back and they roll over to a different position you can leave them there. When left unswaddled for sleeping (which is never anymore since swaddling adds almost an hour onto her asleep time) my baby will sometimes roll to her side.
