I wish this little boy will take more after his father than me. My husband is the straightest board I know. He is squeaky clean inside and out. My 17 year old girl is putting me through the ringer right now and I can't say too much about it because I also did the same to my mom.

I feel silly even wishing on things like this, but the truth is that I do.

I hope the little one has my husband's personality and demeanor. And his metabolism, not mine!

And my brains. LOL.

If it's a girl, I hope she gets my eyes and eyelashes, because my husband has tiny little eyes and little stubby lashes, so I can anticipate she will be a little frustrated with makeup if she takes after him. haha. I know this is utterly superficial, but it's fun to think like this.

Also hoping this DD looks more like me then DD1! At least give me some baby blues! DD1 has exact same eye color as DH.

BUT I do hope she has my hair color (blonde) with DH's texture (curls! love it). Sigh... we'll see!

I'm hoping if this LO is a boy he gets some height from DH's side. DD is petite like me which is perfectly fine, but I know no guy wants to be 5'2 on a good day.

I really hope this one sleeps better than Dd. I'd also like this one to look more like me, as Dd looks more like Dh. Blue eyes would be nice but not holding my breath. I am the only one next to my dad with blue eyes and DHs brother has blue eyes but otherwise everyone else has brown.

I already know that chances of LO looking like me aren't great, but I hope he or she also gets DH's temperament and patience...and my book smarts haha. DH wants LO to have my grey eyes but chances of that are pretty slim.

We also hope our kiddos get DH's metabolism and not mine. Actually, DH has said for girls, he hopes they have his metabolism (DD does...I call her string bean!) but for boys he hopes they have my metabolism. DH has to work really really hard to put on weight/muscle, whereas its really really hard for me to keep weight off. He would like a boy to have an easier time putting muscle on then he has.

We had hoped DD would get DH's red hair and she mostly did. Its a little more brown than his is, but its still this beautiful auburn color. I would love all our kids to have such a unique hair color, because its so different than usual. DD takes some of the qualities of both of us, I would like this next one to take after DH a little bit more because he's so much more laid back then me. DD has her moments, but right now she is putting me through the ringer and I'm sure its payback.

I hope this baby this baby is slow to sit, stand, pull up, crawl and walk. My first was super active at such a young age. I feel like it's a totally selfish wish but he was such a hand full. I want to be able to put this kid down and have it stay there for a bit. Lol.

DH and I talk about this all the time! Really hoping this little one has my blue eyes but DH's perfect eyesight. We'll see! If it's a boy I hope he looks just like DH though- he was the cutest baby ever.

DH's (perfect) teeth and heart, and my skin (DH's dad died of melanoma). On a much shallower note, I would love for this little one to have straighter hair - DD's is so curly it mats if she "dances" in her car seat.

I hope this baby is like my DD as far as a baby and toddler. She was so easy and so well behaved. She still is and she loves school, it comes so easy to her. Makes my life so much easier. She's my little mini me and that's how I was in school. I was shy growing up and she has that shyness too sometimes. I doubt I'll be as lucky to get an easy baby, toddler, and another kid who loves school. But I'm hoping this kid gets my husband's easy going, social butterfly personality. Since my daughter is my mini me (tan, brown hair, brown eyes), I'd like to have a little mini husband...blonde hair, blue eyed boy. My mom said be careful what I wish for b/c that's what she thought when she was pregnant with my younger brother. Sure enough that's what she got and he was a terror! Still is 28 years later.

My husband is African American, so I realize that this LO won't look much like me, aside from maybe my chin and smile. (I think I can already see my long chin in the ultrasound pics.)

I do hope the LO gets my brains and my hubs' laid back, yet life-of-the-party personality.

I hope LO does NOT follow in my footsteps and will not walk before 8 months. (I famously crawled out of my crib and down a set of old farmhouse stairs at 8 months, appearing behind my mother in the kitchen and nearly giving her a heart attack.)

I also hope LO inherits DH's perfect arms, which he has not earned - not one bit! (My family thinks he sneaks off to the gym when I'm not looking. I know better.)

I think red hair is so gorgeous! I have no hope though, I am super brunette (from a genetic standpoint, I am all dominant)... Although my skin is super fair. I keep thinking about this and I just cannot wait to see how this LO will look like! 6 months please go by quick!!!

I hope our baby gets my dark curly hair, tan skin and metabolism, but DH's features. Mine aren't bad, but he has such a well-proportioned face. And the most gorgeous eyes. :x I would also love it if baby has his kind, gentle, patient yet adventurous/inquisitive personality! DH is a ginger, and gingers are quite prevalent on both sides of the family though, so I'm preparing myself for a LO that looks nothing like me!
