A late intro from a weary lurker

Hi all! I've been lurking from the beginning (I'm one of those...), but figured it was time to cave with the introduction. I'm a proud mother to an awesome 2yo DD and due with baby #2 April 27 (12 weeks today)! We had two MCs earlier this year, but so far we've seen this little one at 9 weeks and just heard a strong heartbeat last Friday...so looks like this may be our rainbow baby! I'm a speech language pathologist, providing home-based and preschool services to 0-5 year-olds...so it's babies, babies, babies all day for me (and mountains of paperwork!). I may not post too much but do look forward to being part of your community. Thanks for having me and healthy pregnancies to all!!!

Congratulations!! I'm a fellow SLP working with similar populations! Working with all those little ones really wore me out in my 1st trimester, I don't know how moms do it with a child already! (I'm a FTM). Wishing you all the best!

So great to see so many SLPs in the house! @amystumpf86 this time around has been horrendous! (The first time was bad enough). I think the worst part is the "mommy guilt" that I'm feeling for finding some way to fake energy and enthusiasm at work but can just barely do it at home. When I told my DD that I would feel better soon, her response was "and then mommy can play with me again?"! Heart broken! And don't even get me started on mustering energy and patience for the bedtime routine....
