Passed large clot, don't worry no pic lol

I'm about to be 5 weeks postpartum and I passed a really big clot tonight. It was about the size of 2 half dollars. I'm having light cramping, the pain is like a 1. Before this clot I was lightly bleeding, almost not bleeding at all. Is this a normal thing to happen or should I worry and go to the er?

    The nurses at the hospital told me to go to the emergency room if I passed a clot bigger than a golf ball because you can hemorrhage up to 6 weeks postpartum.

    It's been an hour and a half and I haven't bled anymore than I have been lately. Could heavy bleeding come delayed after the clot?

    If you aren't bleeding much other than that clot, then you probably don't have anything to worry about. Maybe just call your OB tomorrow and ask about it, but if you start bleeding heavier then I'd go to the ER.

    I would call your OB - they should have someone on call to let you know if you need to go to the ER.
