Spotting after a pap smear

Hello future mommies!  I'm brand new to this, and had my first ultrasound today! Baby is measuring 6 weeks, HB 120. The doctor also did a pap smear, and said that some bleeding is normal, but I'm being a little over cautious, and wondering how much is considered "some" - it looks like more than just spots, but not quite as much as a light period (TMI). Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

    Hasn't happened to me but from previous posts I've read this sounds normal. However if it continues and you get cramping then give the doc a call and share your concerns.

    That happened to me after my 8 week pap smear when I was pregnant with my oldest. There was actually brown blood in my underwear when I used the bathroom at home. It lasted for maybe an hour. Called the OB and was told it was totally normal. Everything wound up being fine! She's a healthy 3 year old now ☺.

    Some women have a sensitive cervix. Internal exams, sex, even going #2 can cause some spotting or bleeding. The sensitivity usually subsides by 2nd tri.

    This happened to me with my first and I remember it lasting 2-3 days. Scared the crap out of me, but it ended up being totally normal and fine. The doctor said I just have a very sensitive cervix. Try not to worry too much (I know it's hard).

    Thanks ladies! Luckily it subsided after dinner tonight. Hopefully that sensitivity lessens soon!
