Super mutant sniffing powers!

My nose is crazy, I can smell things instantly, I can distinguish different smells like never before. I can smell the dog's accidents almost as they are coming out and the dog is on the othe side of the townhome! Haha it's funny and annoying at the same time. Anyone else having this symptom or am I a freak of nature?

Nope, you're not alone. DH says I'm like a bloodhound. At one point I mentioned something about a smell and he looked at me like I was crazy and was like "Yup, you're definitely pregnant." I was the same way with DD.

I've started noticing the super smelling already, too. It's kind of fun that pregnancy comes with a superpower...(less fun when most of those smells make you want to throw up, though...)

I get this too. Unfortunately most of my students are at the age where they need to wear deodorant but haven't started wearing it yet and I can smell everyone of them. It's especially awful after recess. :-&

I never had it last pregnancy, but this time around I. Smell. Everything. It's driving me nuts. Last week I was convinced (sorry, this is TMI) that I had this insane amount of feminine odor, but according to DH I didn't smell at all. Thanks, supernose.

Me too! And my hearing has been crazy too. I can hear our neighbor's TV from inside our house with all the windows and doors closed (their's are all closed too). I pointed it out to DH while we were laying in bed the other night and he was amazed.

This evening I came home and smelled the pizza my husband had ordered for dinner from out on the street. We live in a 3rd floor apartment, and the street is another level below the house - that's FOUR stories up, through 2 doors, and also the kitchen is in the back. And I had no idea that he was getting pizza.

Also, perfume and cologne use need to be outlawed, especially on public transportation.

Just this afternoon I get I. The car with DH and was like *sniff sniff* "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT?!?!?" he was like "what?" And I sacked what was the last thing he ate. Turns out it was a single piece of fancy salami... That he ate forever ago. He goes "well, there's that preggo nose"

Same here! Throughout my last pregnancy I was constantly smelling things no one else smelled. They eventually stopped listening to me. The craziest was when I smelled a fire. H didn't smell it and kept getting ready for work. I on the other hand started searching around the house for where the smell was coming from. We had lost power for a second so I thought maybe something shorted. Checked cable boxes, appliances that were plugged in, our laptops. Nothing, but couldn't shake the smell. I finally looked outside and there was a fire on the ground. H finally believed me when I looked out the window for the third time and started screaming FIRE! We live in the woods so I was super worried. Turned out that something shorted on our power box and started a fire in the leaves. Luckily the fire department was already on our way because a neighbor actually saw it happen.

Don't walk in my classroom. I have found that turning to air way down to where the kids have to put coats on helps keep the stink at bay.

Not a great super power to have - super nose.

I feel like my pregnancy will get discovered at work because I am constantly talking about smells.

Like yesterday. Dead mouse. Perfume. Coffee. Ahhhhh the coffee.
