  To answer your question no you will not change from type 2 to type 1. Type 2 diabetics are insulin resistant, your pancreas produces insulin however it may not produce enough hence the need for additional insulin. Type 1 diabetics are insulin dependent. The pancreas does not produce insulin.
  
  Agree with PP, visit with your doctor for further advice on how to manage.
