Being 6 weeks pregnant and constipated, so you end up straining and making a known hemorrhoid bleed (TMI!). Nothing like a bowl full of blood to cause you a heart attack! Baby is still safe and sound in there.
*shudder* the worst!!! I dealt with this last pregnancy. I am doing everything I can to avoid the hell of constipation this time around. Agreed with PP. dose up the bran and water stat!
Oh my word, hemmys are the worst. I didn't get any until DS was born 10 months ago, and they've never totally disappeared. Recovering from those were worse for me than recovering from birth. Drink all the water!!!
This is one of three reasons why I still indulge in one cup of coffee every morning (the other two reasons being a) I love the taste, smell, and everything else about it! and b) it gives me the kick-start I need even more desperately now that the 1st trimester exhaustion and general morning "blechs" have set in). It work like a charm!

My dad made me weekly shakes for my last pregnancy. They contained spinach, apples, banana, avocado, strawberries, blueberries (really whatever fruit you love), and coconut water. He would put it in an OJ container and every morning I would mix 8 ounces of the shake with 4oz water and 4oz almond milk. It would last me 5 days. I'd then drink a cup of coffee, lots of seltzer and a gallon of water throughout the day and I was never once constipated.
