Sometimes my 6-week old wakes up at night screaming loudly (he is a very quiet baby normally and only moans to fuss but doesn't cry out). I check his diaper and make sure no little strings on clothing have caught his fingers or toes. I readjust his swaddle and move his legs and try to burp in case it's gas. A lot of times he only settles if my husband rubs his legs and arms like the baby massage we do after bath times. Do babies feel growing pains? Can they be painful enough to make them cry out like that or is there something else I should be checking for? This doesn't happen every night, just every so often.
