Loud Sleeper-Anyone Else???

edited October 2015 in Babies: 0 - 3 Months
Hey everyone,

My little guy is almost 3 weeks and he is the LOUDEST little sleeper. Between the grunting and squeaks I'm impressed he stays asleep like he does. It makes it really hard for me to catch any sleep though since every noise from him sends me into hyper-alert mode. Anyone else experiencing the joys of a loud sleeper?

  • Yup. Same here. My little man is like a saw mill. So we put him in his own room on day 7. I couldn't sleep. And now we all sleep much better

  • Same here!! DD1 was a loud sleeper and still is at almost 4 years old. We put DD1 in her room at 3 months but I was so paranoid I cranked up the monitor and it was more disruptive than just having baby in our room!

  • Good to know I'm not alone! I'm probably being silly as this is my first baby, but the thought of him sleeping in another room is a little scary right now. I'm sure I'll get tired enough if this keeps up to where it might have to happen though...
  • This is exactly why both my children never lasted longer than about 3-4 weeks in my room before I moved them to their own rooms.
  • Yes! She makes all kinds of noises at night. Some sound like cries so I get up and she's completely asleep.
  • mine too. She is incredibly loud! I am contemplating putting her in her room soon because of how noisy she is.
  • She full on snores, in between the grunts and squawks. We cosleep and now I'm way more paranoid when she sleeps calmly than anything else. The biggest problem is my partner and I not waking her up laughing at her noises. They get pretty ridiculous.
  • I'm so glad I read all your comments, I taught there was something wrong with my baby, she's 5 weeks old, and sleeps in her bassinet next to me, and all night she grunts and squawks, I taught she was chocking and I haven't being able to sleep since then...
  • Mine snores, grunts, moans so much that when he is quiet too long I wake up and shine the light from my phone on him and watch his chest rise and fall!
  • Seriously considering moving mine out of our room bc she's so loud. I have pp insomnia so when I do manage to fall asleep her grunts and squeaks wake me from desperately needed sleep.
