34 with AMH of .61

Hi Everyone,  I am new here and feeling a bit nervous.  I am 34 and 1.5 years ago was told I have an AMH of .61.  As many of you may know, this is not the best scenario but luckily my FSH and LH levels are good.  Has anyone else on here had similar AMH?  I am a newlywed and we have been tracking my ovulation- I usually ovulate about day 16 (when I do).  I can't wait to be a mom and am looking for some support here.  If anyone has words of advice or stories to share I'd appreciate it.  I am going to the Fertility Specialist next week (IRMS) in NJ.  Of course my husbands insurance doesn't cover any IVF.  how crazy is that?  Get with the times!!!

    I'm Shay and I was told in Aug 2014 that my AMH was 0.39. At the time I was 33 years old. Flash forward to now, I had my ER on Friday and we got 6 eggs. I was really nervous because 6 is a low number for an egg retrieval, but a high number for someone diagnosed with DOR/Low AMH. Of the 6 retrieved, 5 of them were mature and 3 fertilized and made it to blastocyst and frozen. While it may be hard to process that you have a low egg reserve, it is still very possible to get some good quality eggs fertilized. Hopefully your doctor will treat you as someone with DOR which means skip all the "trial" medication stimulation plans and start you off with something a tad bit more aggressive from the jump. That may be a great question for you to ask once you meet with your RE. With DOR you have a considering under stimulating is just as important as making sure you don't over stimulating. My first cycle of meds I was under stimulated on a very low dosage of meds and I only had 1 mature egg produced so my RE cancelled the cycle. The second cycle of meds she changed my protocol completely and I was on 500iu of meds every day and it worked out a lot better for me in the end.

    ER 10/9 with 6 Eggs Retrieved/3 SNOWFLAKES!!

    10/22/15 ~ AF Showed up, waiting for Fibroid removal.
    10/28/15 ~ Saline Ultrasound - Fibroids were gone. FET scheduled for December 3rd!
    12/08/15 ~ FET of one hatching Embaby

    12/21/15 ~ 13dp5dfet Beta 755! I'M PREGNANT!!!/     12/23/15 ~15dp5dfet Beta 1539!
