I just found out I'm pregnant, two days before I even missed my period. I don't want to tell a bunch of people because of the high risks of miscarriage in the first trimester, but my job requires a lot of me physically. I routinely lift boxes that weigh anywhere between 60-80lbs, and trays that weigh 25-40lbs. I've read that so long as you were handling it fine before, you should be fine doing it while pregnant, but I haven't read ANYTHING about lifting OVER 50lbs. Theoretically, so long as I'm still doing it in a safe manner (though perhaps, a little slower now to avoid jerking) , it can't CAUSE a miscarriage, can it? It's small and well-cushioned by my body. Can I wait to worry about lifting until I'm showing, or is it dangerous even when it's not even bigger than a bean?
